Hi all, my 65 plate Jaguar XE has started to play up with the code P0341 - Camshaft position sensor A Circuit range / performance Bank 1 or single sensor.
I've replaced the camshaft sensor and cleared the code but it's came right back up and again still struggling to start.
Before I take it to Jaguar dose anyone have any ideas?
Perhaps read a recent post I posted on 3rd August!
I have exactly the same problem appears there might have been a software flash that was treated as a warranty issue H027 that has now expired. I am booked into the dealer tomorrow hopefully it is just software. I too have replaced the sensor. I can reset it, drives fine apart from a few more turns when starting and stop start struggling sometimes.
Mines doing the same, cleared and came back shortly after. Sometimes disappears on its own then will be fine for a short while but always comes back so interesting that it could be a software expiration issue. Nick900 can you please let us know how the dealer resolves yours...TIA
The issue is most likely the reluctor ring on the exhaust camshaft moving. It is only press fit during manufacture. A lot of these were misdiagnosed as cam chain stretch or even bent camshafts!
Still costs 2K to repair sadly.
Nick
