Hi All,

Firstly I have to confess that I do not own an XE although I have friends who do! I do however have an XF which isn't that different (and an XK8).

The Jaguar 'Breakfest' is a new monthly breakfast meet open to all Jaguar owners and enthusiasts regardless of affiliation to a club, forum or group. We meet on the first Saturday of each month (commencing 2nd April 2016) at the prestigious location of the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire, home to the impressive new Collections Centre displaying the Jaguar Heritage Trust's iconic collection of vehicles.

This is a free, friendly and informal gathering, so just turn up anytime from 09.30 (when the café opens) and stay as long as you wish. There is no obligation to visit the museum, although discounted tickets are available (£9 for the day or £14 (gift aid) to receive unlimited access to the museum for 12 months and ideal for those who plan to come regularly). Annual tickets for over 60s are just £12.

Privileged parking for Jaguars is reserved directly outside the Collections Centre and, thanks to active support and involvement from the British Motor Museum, the meet will be regularly enhanced by exclusive tours, special displays and celebrity guests in addition to the spectacle of our own extensive range of Jaguar cars from classic to modern. All models are welcome!

This will be the largest regular gathering of the wider Jaguar community and undoubtedly a very popular monthly event, but there is plenty of space, all are welcome and there is no requirement to pre-book.
The XE is the current face of Jaguar and its future heritage, so is equally important as all the classic models and the more XEs on show the better!
if you wish to visit as a forum event please let me know and we'll try to park you together.

Peter

There's still a bit of landscaping to finish but this is what the new Collections Centre looks like

Just dusting this one off as the weather is getting better and a lot of newer members might not know about it.
First Saturday every month.
I won't be going tomorrow as I've just slung the mighty S nearly 300 miles up the A30, M5 and M4 from Cornwall but I might have it de-bugged by the next one on Sat 5th May.

Might turn up over the summer ... what exactly goes on? Just walk around an gawp at lush Jags laid out like a carboot sale while you're there guzzling alcy free beer? Or is it more structured and actually tents and events and such?

Edit: speaking of which I was around the area visiting the W Castle last autumn, thinking about it might have been the first saturady in October or November ... but I remember thinking the roads in the area looked like a Jaguar showroom. Don't see many Jags in London, let alone XE's, and within the space of a few miles I'd passed around 20 XE's alone, all driving towards me!

Not quite.
It's a breakfast meet and most get there and go up to the cafe in the main museum for breakfast.
Then you can hang around outside gawping at the machinery or wander around the main museum.
But the other thing to see is the Jaguar collection in the new building on the ground floor and the "overflow" from the main museum on the top floor.
Some pretty weird and wonderful stuff up there.

There is usually a smattering of XE's and F-Types with a large contingent of XK8's plus a few older types.

I'll definitely get along to the one in May
5th May is the next one and provided the weather is decent I'll probably be taking the trip.
(Just realised I've still got free entry from the last visit :D )

Normally get there about 9.30 to hit the cafe first until the museum opens.

It was quite a good turnout overall.
Only a handful of XE's though and no F-Paces.............................which is good.

Have to go and clean a lot of insect wildlife of the screen including something quite large.
When I asked my daughter (13) what was the last thing that went through it's mind as it hit the windscreen she replied "it's arse".
Good girl.
:D

Good to catch up Phil, excellent morning wandering around n chatting to people. Nice to see they had changed stuff round in the museum and some new exhibits as well. I got back relatively unscathed must have frightened the wildlife off on the way up lol Was really surprised not an F Pace or E Pace in sight, was it something we said?

Fingers crossed the weather is as nice for June 2nd . The Jaguar display in the overflow building is astronomically good. A Project 8 would be fun to see as well (wishful thinking) amongst our group !

Yep, i'm going, weather looks ok in the morning as well, at the moment.

We had quite a few XEs there today, forgot to take some photos, but a nice collection from 163 manual, R-Sports, Landmark, 300 Sport and an S.
There was a good variety of Jags from all eras and it turned out nice and sunny.

Thanks to everyone for coming. It was a fantastic turn out of around 130 Jaguars from old to new and as far as we are concerned all are equal. The next meet is on Saturday 6th April from 09.30. You are all welcome.
Could I also give you advance notice of our June and September meets, which will be at Classic Works, Coventry. This is an opportunity to visit Jaguar Classic for free and while your forum is for modern XEs I'm sure many of you are still interested in classics too. Full details will be update on the website: www.jaguarbreakfastclub.org.uk

Many thanks, Peter
