Hi All,

Firstly I have to confess that I do not own an XE although I have friends who do! I do however have an XF which isn't that different (and an XK8).

The Jaguar 'Breakfest' is a new monthly breakfast meet open to all Jaguar owners and enthusiasts regardless of affiliation to a club, forum or group. We meet on the first Saturday of each month (commencing 2nd April 2016) at the prestigious location of the British Motor Museum, Gaydon, Warwickshire, home to the impressive new Collections Centre displaying the Jaguar Heritage Trust's iconic collection of vehicles.

This is a free, friendly and informal gathering, so just turn up anytime from 09.30 (when the café opens) and stay as long as you wish. There is no obligation to visit the museum, although discounted tickets are available (£9 for the day or £14 (gift aid) to receive unlimited access to the museum for 12 months and ideal for those who plan to come regularly). Annual tickets for over 60s are just £12.

Privileged parking for Jaguars is reserved directly outside the Collections Centre and, thanks to active support and involvement from the British Motor Museum, the meet will be regularly enhanced by exclusive tours, special displays and celebrity guests in addition to the spectacle of our own extensive range of Jaguar cars from classic to modern. All models are welcome!

This will be the largest regular gathering of the wider Jaguar community and undoubtedly a very popular monthly event, but there is plenty of space, all are welcome and there is no requirement to pre-book.
The XE is the current face of Jaguar and its future heritage, so is equally important as all the classic models and the more XEs on show the better!
if you wish to visit as a forum event please let me know and we'll try to park you together.

Peter

There's still a bit of landscaping to finish but this is what the new Collections Centre looks like

There is also an organised Scenic Drive this month, so for anyone wishing to have a drive around the lovely Warwickshire countryside in a Jaguar convoy can do so.

The new JBC Scenic Drive is now ready to be enjoyed!
Weather permitting, this route will be taken as a leisurely convoy after breakfast at next week's meet, departing the museum at 11am. Printed directions and a map will be available free of charge

Just a reminder that next week's meet (1st June) is at Classic Works, Ryton, Coventry, CV8 3EA. This is a big event to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Mk2 but all Jaguars, including XEs, are welcome. Parking will be split between Classic Works and the nearby Jaguar SVO building. Entry to Classic Works is FREE! Full details on the website: www.jaguarbreakfastclub.org.uk

Yesterday Ryton was definitely worth the effort! I hadn't realised that there were so many C and D types still in existance. An amazing collection of cars of many types, mostly but not just Jags.

It was a good day wasn't it? Nice turnout of MK2s for their 60th anniversary, including a large contingent from Switzerland, well done chaps.

Here's a few pics, including a gratuitous XE or two :)

Bah....

I can't make this one - we're away for the weekend playing boardgames :ugeek:

And the next one is the day after one of the ladies I used to work with's 60th birthday party, so we'll see, but it doesn't seem likely :(

I have a family wedding to attend, but should be back up there for August :D :D .
Oh no, but, family ALWAYS come first, weather is looking good for the wedding though.

I shall be there this month, but then August is Denmark, and September is Portugal, on one of the bikes , :D so after July my next will be October, should be ready for a full English by then after all the continental faff. .

Bump.
Next Saturday 3rd August, normal meet at the museum.
I will be bringing my new toy to try and put some miles on it but will park at the back behind the Jaaaags so I don't contaminate your lovely motors.
Cafe opens 0915 apparently for the traditional bacon and egg sarnies.
:D
