I've decided that I need another XE in my life, so I've ordered a 2021 P250 R-Dynamic Black in Eiger Grey with a few goodies.
I'm told that Castle Bromwich won't be producing XE's until November and that the first ones off the line will be dealer demonstrators. I think it's probably a good thing that the first ones aren't customer cars, which I believe will start arriving in the new year. I've therefore asked for a March delivery.
A happy Christmas indeed. Sounds like yours will be one of the first produced. My dealer called me last week to confirm my early Feb build date and that mine will be in the second batch they receive (he said their first deliveries will be the end of January).
I'm very interested to know more about how they've implemented Pivi Pro in the XE, so do let us all know!
That's an S spec, dials on the dash and no lower touch screen. I went for the S but added those on
Liking the blacked out leaper, is that on all black packs now or just this 'black' model?.. which is red! My build photos have it as black so hoping so.
I believe the Black 'edition' is based on the S model. The Black also has the analogue dials. You can tell its a Black because of the black side sills.
Picked it up last week but I've been down with Covid since then so no driving it - it's just sitting outside looking gorgeous. For the 100 miles I drove before isolation commenced, it was superb. Best car I've driven, by far and really looking forward to getting well again and being released to drive some more!

It does indeed have the pivi pro . The interface seems pretty intuitive and with the nav, I like having the "big" view on the main screen and the more specific detail between my dials in front of me. Connected to phones etc without hassle.
Haven't had the opportunity to try the matrix headlights properly yet, so it'll take a while to trust them to just do their thing, I think.

Sorry to hear you've had Covid and hope it's not been too bad. A great looking car for you to enjoy when you're allowed.
Have a good Xmas and Happy New Year.
Car looks beautiful Dave. You may well be the first on here with the new MHEV model. Hopefully you will get well soon and will be able to enjoy your new ride!
I'm sure there are a few on here who are interested in the performance and characteristics of the new engine. I know I am. When you are up to it could you please add some interior pics. Thanks.
Get well soon and Happy Christmas.

I think you'll find the matrix LED headlights to be excellent. I have them on my 2020 XE and the auto dipping really works very well indeed - dipping fast enough to avoid annoying oncoming drivers and reverting to full beam very quickly. I was sceptical that they would work well enough to avoid manual dipping but they do, and getting rid of the chore of continually dipping and undipping headlights is absolutely great.
I wish I had the pivi-pro system on mine though - JLR has never managed to get the bugs out of previous system and these continue to irritate me.
I echo chrisjp's comments about the Matrix headlights. My wife has now said every car we have will have to have them! I had them on the Audi that I had before the XE but not as good as the Jags. Simply brilliant and makes night driving so much easier.

That's exactly what I wanted, exterior wise. Alas, I was priced out of the 20" wheels because Jag force you to have adaptable dynamics added when choosing them
It still looks good with the Black venoms and red calipers though Roll on March 1st!
