Hello everyone,

For the last 15 years I have been driving a 1.8 Rover 75 Connoisseur SE which I bought brand new in April 2005. It was a week before they went bust and I got it at an amazing price! Sadly, about a month ago after doing 90,000 miles the head gasket blew and I made the difficult decision to not put a new engine in etc.. It was still in great condition.

Yesterday, I collected my Jaguar XE P250 R-Dynamic SE in Santorini Black and it is simply fantastic.

The power and smoothness of the engine is amazing and it is just effortless to drive. I looked at the normal class rivals and due to the coronavirus situation I didn't even test drive it but am so pleased with the decision I made.

I am still struggling to sort out a couple of the tech issues but that is probably down to me being an old technophobe and I suspect I may have to put an entry in the help forums soon.

I am going out for a Sunday morning drive with my wife along the North Norfolk coast tomorrow and I cant wait!

Drive safely all..... John.

Welcome.
I had an Audi A4 before my Jaguar. When I looked at changing earlier this year, the world just seemed full of Audi's, Merc's and BMW's. We then test drove the Jaguar and we were converted in an instant. The car looks fabulous, drives so well, has all the tech anyone could wish for and I have not regretted the decision for a second.

Enjoy!!

Cars have come a long way in the last 5 years, but 15 years!! No wonder you like it.

These cars, particularly the facelift model are much under-rated IMO. The handling and the smoothness of the ride is top notch and the finish is at least equal to the other cars in the class.

There is some good advice on this forum, so if you get "stuck" with anything, there are plenty who are willing to help.

Enjoy the car - you deserve it after spending 15 years in the last one.
