Re: Manual opening of powered bootlid

I have been thinking about this problem for the L_O_N_G_E_S_______T time as I was also caught out with this problem of a stone dead battery ! Surely there must be an easier way to access the boot in the event of total battery failure ? Also in the event that the electrics on the lock fail , how are ...

Re: Loud BANG! ! ! & Instant PANIC ! ! !

The Jag assist only gets renewed with a warranty extension. That is now offered either as just warranty or warranty and assistance costing extra. I decided to take on full RAC cover, equivalent to the AA version of Jag assist, as an addition to my car insurance for £60 or so extra, compared with so...

Re: Loud BANG! ! ! & Instant PANIC ! ! !

I'm concerned by Jaguar Assist's lack of interest. How did your conversation with them go? This worries/concerns me too - does not sound at all good. :o :? Hi Guys , Re Jaguar Assist, I was under the misconception that my renewal of my in control included roadside assistance of sorts ( my car is 4y...

Re: Loud BANG! ! ! & Instant PANIC ! ! !

What is generally referred to in the trade as an "OH SH1T ! ! !" moment. I can't think why the gearbox would cycle through the gears, but I do get why the engine stopped, It did so to protect itself. Personally I would be concerned that it might do it again and would want it thoroughly checked out ...

Loud BANG! ! ! & Instant PANIC ! ! !

Here we go ******** . Last week on a round trip of some 100mls or so, on the return journey I was coming down a slip rd to join the motorway. As you do I was bringing the car up to speed in preparation to join the main caraigeway . Now ***** I know I was a bit overzealous with the loud pedal but was...

Re: Issues Wet Weather/Rain

Hi All, Have to say early on in my ownership I also faced a similar problem of access being refused via the key fob . Entry was achieved using the key from within the fob as the car battery was stone dead ! This action allowed the bonnet pull to be accessed & the battery recharged overnight via the ...
