Re: Key battery

Dead easy. The battery is a standard 2032 lithium button cell available everywhere.

You slide the chrome piece off the keyfob and use the emergency key inside to pop the case open by inserting it in the square hole and twisting.

Probably a good idea to replace the other one too.

Re: RIP Norman Dewis

Saw this yesterday elsewhere :( Fascinating chap to listen to, his description of driving the first E-Type convertible overnight from Birmingham to the Geneva motor show was amazing. For those who don't know, he was chief test driver and development engineer for Jaguar from 1952 to 1985. He was invo...

Re: DIRT INGRESS @ REAR DOORS AROUND ARCHES

Just looked at my rear doors and amazed at dirt there ! (unlike previous XF). Ordered P strip. Thanks for the idea. I fitted the P strip back on page 10. Almost 2 years later and they're still working and still stuck fast. Aside: The new face-lift XE still lacks the outer seals. They haven't learne...

Re: All XEs invited to Jaguar Breakfast at Gaydon

It was a good day wasn't it? Nice turnout of MK2s for their 60th anniversary, including a large contingent from Switzerland, well done chaps.

Here's a few pics, including a gratuitous XE or two :)

Re: Anyone noticed any Odometer issues ?

The app doesn't record the correct mileage. Zoom in on the track and you'll see bends recorded as a series of straight lines which shorten the distance slightly. It's not much but builds up over time. Also it seems the 'sample rate' has changed, I don't remember the straight bits being quite as long...

Re: MOT time.....

So, is it normal then for Jaguar dealers not to diarise to contact clients to advise them that their MOT is due soon and ask them would they like to book their car in etc ? Mine emailed me a reminder about 6 weeks prior. I left it 3 weeks to preserve the original date then booked it in. Without che...

Re: XE 2016-18 2l Diesel & 2.0L petrol 2018 Recall

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but the 2016 cars have a lower AdBlu dosage rate. I think it was my17 when they upped (doubled?) the dosage. Which is why mine will do maybe 15-16k miles per tankful and my neighbor's 17 plate 180D only does 8k... Most likely will be a software change to up th...
