Re: Question about Front bumper trim
Hi I have a white XE portfolio and was looking at the front bumper and notice that some white cars have the trim on either side black (see pic). I can see on ebay some of these trims for sale but it looks like they screw in place and on my car they seem to be part of the front bumper assembly and n...

Re: Incontrol Premium
As far as I know it doesn't show fluid levels. Another miss by jaguar is not showing the tyre pressures! The original version shows some fluid levels, tyre pressures and a few other things. The new one only shows "No Issues Detected" Hi Bob. I have both versions of the app but do not get this scree...

Re: Broken valve!!
Do you by any chance have metal caps? I have read several times they rust on to the stems and can be a swine to remove. Stick to plastic.

Re: Incontrol Premium
Yes its a manual, so the remote start is a no-no. But shouldn't I be able to see the fluid levels? All I get is the fuel level. As far as I know it doesn't show fluid levels. Another miss by jaguar is not showing the tyre pressures! The original version shows some fluid levels, tyre pressures and a...

Re: Build specifications
It was possible up until a few weeks ago to input a vin on Topix and obtain at no cost a full build sheet for an individual car. Unfortunately JLR have seen fit to suddenly remove that free facility. I'm not sure if it's possible to view it now even if you pay. I would try submitting the VIN to CRC ...

Re: SAT NAV REBOOT
HI BOBCDP, Ive not tried that yet. Would a copy Nav SD card work ok in car? Do I copy it onto my laptop then back onto a new SD card? Thanks. Yep it will work. I used the copy in my previous car and kept the original in the house. Plug the card into your laptop. Right click on it and press copy and...

Have you tried copying the card onto another one yet? It could be something as simple as that.

Re: Integrated Dash Cam
For anyone wanting to fit a rear camera and not wanting to pull up the tread plates. there is a plastic trim piece above the carpet which runs from front to back. I lifted it outwards slightly and tucked the cable behind it. The only difficult bit is getting under the shaped plastic trim alongside ...

Re: Battery Charging Query
That was my point BOB. The owner at home should not use the Negative terminal it is only for JLR equipment use as I understand it from the first lot of WSM shown by Wolfie1. I have the CTek charge point in the boot. The +ve is direct and the -ve is to a stud in the boot floor. The amateur connectin...

Re: Low Battery Warning after Battery Change
Lol, but it is safe its in the wsm, on pathfinder there is a similar thing but its in the service menu under the bcm, the reason this was added as a diagnostic routine is you cannot do a hard battey reset with a mhev or an ev If it's in the workshop manual, then I'm sure it's fine for trained engin...
