Re: What happens at the end of the 3 year warranty?

When mine ran out, as the car has been virtually faultless apart from a new condenser, I decided to get national breakdown cover with Start Rescue. They probably wouldn't be able to fix it, but at least I could get the car home and into my local garage. That was £60 and covers my son's Audi too. It ...

Re: Insurance renewal

God only knows how insurance companies work out premiums. I was with Direct Line for 3 years and they were always the most competitive until September 18 when they suddenly upped my premium from £310 to £450 and would not budge. I then went with Esure for £380 and £55 cashback via Topcashback, which...

Re: DEF warning message.

I stand to be corrected but I don’t recall this problem being reported on the forum on earlier cars where the useage was 1000 miles/litre. I’ve only had the dashboard warning once so far at 19500 miles about 12 months ago. I just dumped 10 litres in and the warning cleared. I did buy another 10 litr...

Re: Greeting from Italy

Welcome agatti. Loved my visit to Italy a few years back when my daughter was teaching in Genoa. She was living in Rapallo and while I was there we did the famous Cinq Terre walk and also visited some old tower that needed a bit of tlc :D :D. It really is a beautiful country and the people are wonde...

Re: Air Con Servicing

My 1 year old approved car had faulty air conditioning as soon as I was driving away from the dealer. Didn't get cold. Went back the next day and they diagnosed a faulty seal or something. Been OK since, but I'm waiting........... That is exactly the same story as mine, 1 year old approved complete...

Re: Air Con Servicing

It's all to do with faulty foreign condensers that mysteriously attract stones at over 1000 miles an hour to piece them. My 1 year old approved car had faulty air conditioning as soon as I was driving away from the dealer. Didn't get cold. Went back the next day and they diagnosed a faulty seal or ...

Re: Fuel filter Information

Many thanks for your replies.
No idea why, but I thought the fuel filter was somewhere under the rear seat.
All very useful information and I will order one shortly and get the job done.

Re: Fuel filter Information

Today I changed my fuel filter on my 180 diesel. After an hour of trying to suck fuel through the new filter to no avail I decided to start the engine. It fired up and cut out after 10 seconds. After I restarted the ignition I could hear the diesel being pumped through via the lift pump. After 15 s...
