Re: Disc question (Brembo)

Hi Chris. Not sure if this any help but I fitted the standard Brembo discs and pads (rear) listed for my previous oil burner and after 12 months when I sold the car, they were fine, no sign of corrosion, just the usual rusty spots which form and clear as soon as you drive. The pads did create more d...

Re: Air conditioning not working !

As far as I can see you haven’t said what year your car is. If you put the info in your profile it’s useful for other members when trying to answer queries. I agree with FighterPilot. Don’t attempt to fill it yourself. You almost certainly have a leak. Very likely to be either a seal or the condense...

Re: Stolen :(

The problem with all factory installed security systems is that they are standard and once Scroat HQ have worked out how to get round them and they always do, they then pass on the details to all the other scroats. The high tech security system which has cost a furtune then becomes little more than ...

Re: DEF

You don’t need to check the level. What you describe in nothing to do with how much DEF is in your tank. Although the warning is quality, that is misleading as almost certainly there is nothing wrong with the quality. It could be a faulty sensor, wrong dosage into the exhaust or several other things...

Re: DEF

The 2015 and early 2016 cars just gave a warning when the tank needed topping up. There is no level indicator. On the later models with a round centre dial between speedo and rev counter you can check in the menu how many miles before you need to refill. The 180D has a 16 litre tank. Never fill it!!...

Re: DEF

No idea what this 1234 is. If your car has a quality warning, you most definitely have a problem and filling it with more DEF will not sort it. It’s a well known problem. Search Adblue on here and have a good read. If you have any sort of warranty, take it back to the garage you bought it from and i...

Re: Car Locking.

That is different from the 2015 I had (see below). Mine only had the lower P button. Where yours shows the upper P button, mine was for Settings. What does the upper P button do?

Re: Rear Demister/Defroster Window

The light on the switch only means the switch has been operated and is not confirmation that the rear window demister is actaully working. Looking at the cuircuit diagram (see below), it could be a bad connection somewhere, a faulty relay, a blown fuse or possibly the screen itself has gone open cir...

Re: Car Locking.

On the 2015 it should be on the left hand side of the screen. You have the home button then below it parking aid then sensor. Don’t think that’s right. As far as I remember, down the left from the top is Home, Settings, Parking aid, Camera (if fitted). Not sure what you mean by Sensor as the only b...

Re: Radiator grill

My first car was an exceptionally rusty 11-year-old Austin Maxi, and I remember being amused at all the people in other Maxis with cardboard over the grille at the front in winter. The Maxi, of course, was transverse engined, with the radiator hanging off one end, and large air slots inside the app...
