Re: Jag XE Service

The car is counting down the time to next service, for which I assume you have a petrol that requires an annual service or 12000 miles, which ever comes first, but is showing an estimated mileage to when that 12 months is up. As you are now doing a lot less miles, the estimated mileage is counting d...

Re: First service

5yrs/60,000 miles is better than we get in the country its built! We only get 3yrs here. But I think the miles limit is higher; something like 100k I think. I have to say that 60k miles is not an awful lot for a car that is competing in the up-market sphere. What are jaguar afraid of ? Is it just c...

Re: Back box removal.

So the back boxes weren't actually removed, just the tips cut off and replaced, bit of a misleading title.

It looks good and with the back boxes retained, it shouldn't adversely affect the sound level in the car. Enjoy :D

Thank you. I was looking while the car was in Park mode and as link mentions it only applies when gear selected in auto.
If you select D the DRLs will come on, then you can reselect P and they will stay on (if activated in the settings menu of course).

Re: Rattling noise when driving

Dealers are not very good at tracing these things due to the time it can take and usually want to charge to find it. Hence the steps I took. You can say that again, I still get angry when I think of the noise and vibration I had on my new XE earlier in the year when the Technician? insisted it was ...

Re: Back box removal.

Delete?? That means removal of the silencers? That looks very iffy for general road use. this is the twin set up on the V6. Note the silencers at the rear. Screenshot 2021-01-14 10.38.08 EXHAUST V6.png The 4 cylinder petrols have the same setup except for the twin outlets at the front. I'm with you...

Re: Integrated Dash Cam

For anyone wanting to fit a rear camera and not wanting to pull up the tread plates. there is a plastic trim piece above the carpet which runs from front to back. I lifted it outwards slightly and tucked the cable behind it. The only difficult bit is getting under the shaped plastic trim alongside ...

Re: SD card

I take it you mean the SD card for the Navigation, if so these are only a available from the dealer and are coded to the car so don't bother trying to get a second hand one as it won't work. I'm sorry but have no idea how much one of these will cost but knowing Jaguar it won't be cheap! Did you buy ...

Re: 200ps Exhaust Conversion

Be aware that Powerflow back boxes can sound quite boomy, I had them fitted to a previous car but reverted back to standard after just a couple of months as it ruined the driving experience.

You could always get a pair of standard back boxes from a scrapped XE and fit your own tips.
