Re: Forward alert + AEB = pedestrian detection

Jaguar have now done away with the hideous rectangular sensor in the grill, my current XE has ACC but no rectangular sensor. I was told the radar sensor is now incorporated behind the badge.

Re: Forward alert + AEB = pedestrian detection

Another thought is, has your Wife ever passed a driving test? To have 2 or 3 incidents a year doesn't make her a good driver and I'm afraid to say it sounds like only a matter of time before she kills someone. If I was you I wouldn't let her take a car out on the road again until she has been passed...

Re: Driving Licence Renewal

I also still have the old paper licence and like you, often get comments about it being illegal, even from the dealership when I had to produce it in there for an I.D. check.

Re: Meccano Magazine

Don't think I could handle those little screws and nuts now with my elderly arthritic fingers but had loads of fun with them years ago 😃

Re: Spacers opinions and advice

Not in the right place for this I know but I have a pair of 15mm and a pair of 20mm Direnza hub-centric spacers sitting in my garage if you're interested. The 15's where fitted to my previous 240 with 19" wheels and are in excellent condition, the 20's are unused. These cost £65/pair new so would li...

Definitely huge amounts of steam when the weather is cold, especially when first giving it a bit of welly. Never had a burning smell though.

Re: 240 exhaust leaking water from join

My 240 used to do the exact same thing. I tried tightening the clamps but couldn't budge them so in the end just left them.

You are correct in saying the exhaust would be blowing, I could see a tell-tail sign of black sooty deposits on the exhaust pipe leading back from the joints.
