Re: Rear break light

On the subject of autocomplete - some years ago Subaru sent out a celebration key fob to Impreza turbo owners- can't remember the event being celebrated. Embossed on this was the logo "Suburb". Few days later new fob plus grovelling letter from Subaru.

Re: Brakes

Not fiddled with the xe brakes yet but with other motors have found ECP abit difficult - often says there are alternative fitments but doesn't help in IDing them despite having you log in the reg no. I keep our cars for a long time so have got into the habit of keeping samples of what I take off rea...

Re: Not a happy Bunny

If you're concerned re inadequate charging I strongly recommend a cheap {ebay, <£5 ) voltmeter which plugs into a lighter / auxilliary electric socket. This will show if the alternator is producing suitable voltage. It allowed me to diagnose failing alternator diodes when I had flat battery problems...

Re: Dealer Marketing Tools

Suggested to my insurance co that it might save them a bunch to give customers a pair of tried and tested pouches but they weren't interested.

headlight washers

Since buying our XE 12 months ago I've noticed a crusty white residue in the narrow gap around the (retracted) washer jets. I presume this is a residue from previous polish application but all efforts from soaking to application of cleaner has failed to shift it due to the inaccessibility. Does anyo...

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

Agree with last poster - I am sure there was a new update promulgated in the last couple of months which has fixed the "problem" for good. Have to say how annaying it is if you forget to switch it off, but at least I know my battery is OK

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

The final solution ? Our 380S built July 2017 was bought by us in August last year. On our test drive the S/S was inoperative but I was assured that this would be fixed by a long run. Needless to say, a 60 mile trip home after purchase failed to change the situation. The dealership had left a note o...

Re: Alternative exhaust tips.

Have followed this topic on + off but if I were to modify my exhaust tips I hanker after some as fitted to the F type (central mini megaphone style) as I also spotted (perhaps slightly large) on a F Pace SVR in Dick Lovett's.
Not got the tec to attach picture but google it and picture them on an XE.

Re: Latest software ICT non pro

Updating an old thread. I have followed the advice on here and have identified the (non pro) software as 3.1....... on a model year 2018 S. I understand updating can improve Meridian 380 function and make bluetooth more reliable. My query is what this specific software controls - is it just the info...
