Re: Retrospective RLF increases :o

Probably a bit late but today is last date for comments on these proposals which could cost those with cars registered post 2017 a lot of money.

Re: Best MPG You've Had?

Not seen much (if anything) from the V6 brigade - my best is about 37mpg on a motorway cruise @ 75 mph indicated (which I assume is really 70). Interestingly, I get the impression that the "economy" is better at that sort of speed than with a gentle cross country at around 40-50 - suggests good aero...

Re: Driving Licence Renewal

PhilB - obviously a youngster. Your C1 entitlement expires on your 70th birthday unless you undergo a medical. Times change - my parents got their licences without a test. Even better, my late father applied for a motorcycle licence at 16 and was sent by mistake a full licence for all classes, so st...

Re: Driving Licence Renewal

Irritating thing is you lose your C1 entitlement unless you undergo a medical - potential problem if you have a large motorhome.

Re: Service costs

Useful posts - Vespa - was that a Jagdealer - if so how did they access the Pug - multiple franchise dealer? My preferred dealer is stand alone Jag / LR and his other franchises are miles away and all exotic. From Bazzamf looks like there is a Jag embargo - perhaps in normal times they allow dealers...

Re: Service costs

Thanks for quick reply on servicing arrangements - looks like its the norm. Unfortunately I didn't mention the preferred dealer is some 45 miles away so a walk is out and with social distancing and the wife currently not driving so is a lift. There is a much nearer dealer but I am loathe to go there...

Re: Service costs

Slight thread drift - our XES is a month overdue for 3rd year service and a month or so left on the Jaguar warranty. I've been chasing up my preferred dealer but they say they cannot yet do collect/ deliver (not that I would) or allow you to wait on the premises and say Jaguar is not allowing courte...

Re: Should I?

Agree about little used sunroof but also advantage of glass - given the choice I would have a non opening glass roof with blind.

Re: Clock always slow

Slight thread drift - is the clock meant to adjust for summer / winter time - mine doesn't?
