Re: Winter tyres

Just sold my XE with Michelin cross climates fitted at 30,000 miles, car went via Jaguar to BCA who carried out full appraisal at 68,900 miles before auction, every tyre still had 4mm depth! The British climate lends itself to cross climates (Scotland excepted) all year round ability, especially as ...

Replaced Portfolio with R-Dynamic S

Hi, having served me well, my 2016 Portfolio 163 manual Bluefire has been replaced after 68800 miles, with my new MY202O R-Dynamic 180 S Portofino blue with white interior, hunted the network to find this and Hatfields Hull did me proud. Instantly I have noticed how quiet the new car is and how much ...

Re: Air Con Servicing

No 64,000 miles in 3.5 years and mine needs a regas, spoke to my local Jaguar specialist at the cars service and high miler XE's are already needing regas, usage over age, I run my aircon all year. I have also been quoted £70 for the new gas, as only one garage in the area can provide the new gas s...

We regularly get a different one in the 'There's a problem with your BT internet line' phone call.
We get this one quite a lot in East Yorkshire, standard reply 'Yes we have no BT Internet line, thicko, we are KCOM land'
Trying the scam in an area not covered by BT, you have to laugh!

Re: Another Stratstone Closed

All thanks to VW Not really all the legislation to replace the old emissions test was already in place by the EU before the VW scandal broke in America. It just means that any new car sold after September 1st must have a valid RDE2 certificate, and that applies to all types of power plant testing. ...

Re: Another Stratstone Closed

Stratstone is the premium car division of the Pendragon Group. The Car Store used division seriously under performed in the last year and adversely affected the groups results. The senior Pendragon management have been reviewing the group's portfolio of businesses and dealers and were they have foun...

Re: Air Con Servicing

Allowing for the acceptable loss of 3% refrigerant per year, the oldest XE at about 4 years should still have around 88% of the gas still in the system. It will be interesting to see how low that can go before performance is affected and it needs a regas. No 64,000 miles in 3.5 years and mine needs...

Re: Chip in paintwork

Thanks chaps for the replies. If steel then should be fine. Hopefully ! I had 2 dents removed from the crease line as it's the first point of contact on the steel doors (why rubber strips were removed I've no idea). Professional PDR man removed 2 dents in 3 minutes and you look along the crease lin...

Re: JLR Announcement

The British government for one I think. Looks like an XJ the PM is in and out of. Maybe Boris demanded an eco carriage  Boris wants a Borismaster bus  , but his successor Sadiq Khan stopped production and the latest buses are more restrained and considerably cheaper and can at the end of ...

Re: JLR Announcement

The BBC version: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-48875406 It mentions a range of EV's going to be built at Castle Bromwich. No surprise as they have been saying for some time they will eventually have a full range of EV's and hybrids. Not sure about starting with the XJ though. Who buys those??...
