Re: Vibration and Buffeting Noise

To me the fact that he did not phone back when he said and his other answers says that they have done nothing at all with your car over the days they have had it in their workshop. What about the original suggestion that they will change the propshaft to try that if the undertray removal does not wo...

Re: Infotainment Software Update latest S20A_20.16.5-536345 (May'20)

Long time since I’ve posted but I’ve been keeping up to date here since changing from an XE to an XF. Mine is the pro system on 20a, today got the same message as others have posted, I thought it was strange as under lockdown the car rarely ever moves. Same as others there is data on the Jaguar supp...

Re: Remote start

Mine did not start on both frosty days earlier in the week ( In other words when I needed it most) I know the app could connect to the car as I tried the flash and beep function which worked. I just tried it now, nice and mild, and it started. The XE I had was the same . It was hit and miss on frost...

Re: Was your previous car a Mazda 6

I had two Mazda 6 estates before my XE. The second one was the new shape and the first brand new car I bought. Loved it in many ways but it was definitely a Friday afternoon car, loads of problems with the electrics, the brakes and an incompetent dealer to boot. Binned it in the end at a big loss fo...

Re: Service intervals for diesel has it changed??

My 2019 MY XF purchased in Feb 19 (180 ingenium diesel) is still on 21,000 service intervals, this is supported by the handbook and the service countdown on the dash/remote app. Any quotes for the Jaguar Service plan also show two years/21,000 miles. Interestingly the iGUIDE suggests flexible interv...

Re: Insurance renewal

Insurance companies are odd. Philsjag, I’m with CIS, I was with my XE, no tracker requirement, no discount when I told them I had one they just said it didn’t make a difference. When I switched to the XF in February the premium went down, no tracker was mentioned, they soft quoted when in the showro...

Re: Recommendations - Towbar fitting

Sorry Vespa but I don’t need another look, I know exactly what instructions I was looking at on TOPIX. The instructions I looked at on Topix were for fitting a detachable towbar NOT the cycle carrier. This shows the full fitting process, from removing the boot floor, removing the bumper to fitting t...

Re: Recommendations - Towbar fitting

The full fitting instructions are available on Topix without paying for a subscription. I had a look but unfortunately they don’t specify a part number for the insert. Maybe printing it out and taking to a dealership could help identify it.

Cheers

Re: Recommendations - Towbar fitting

The towbar I had in my Mazda 6’s were just loose in a bag, a huge pain in the neck.

Below are a couple of shots of the one in the XF, I don’t know if I have a photo of the one in the XE.

Cheers,
