Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

.....  . Holy Oaks! I have never seen ANY thread last as long as this. Vespa, you have got to receive some sort of award for starting what turned out to be a two-year (and counting) steady discussion. And car makers have got to receive some sort of praise for creating a gadget in the ...

 P1050065.JPG Bonded Payoff: One day in sweltering 48 degrees F (is this really January???), it poured. it vomited rain--it poured! Before I entered the motorway I passed a man with a sign "Join me and bring a girlfriend---I need some animals for my Ark" ……... I watched the cars far ahead of ...

 Let us Be Lovers: I won't go into the DIY struggles of changing four simple wheels, which I hadn't expected to be so difficult, and was completely unprepared for. (those block-headed Jaguar service techs who tighten your chrome lug nuts with a shipyard rivet gun, instead of following the 125...

 Nokian-Tyres-Hakkapeliitta-R3.jpg I won't go into the tread specifics and rubber design of the Nokian Hakkapelita R3 tyre (you'll visit the website if you're intrigued). It was time to wrap my Nokian rubbers around some proper English Steel (err, um, English Aluminium--I meant Aluminium :rol...

 :x Call me Ishmael... :? In ye ole' global crisis years, when we were all hurting in one way or another from the world financial collapse, I was one of the millions who lost his professional job, and was floundering for employment. :( I agreed to a job that required some (brutal) driving, 50...

Re: Reading all of this will leave you Tyred Out.

 Proper English Leather: When I chose my tier of XE, the factory wheels it came with were the only thing I didn't approve of on the car, and I swore I would change them out for a "nicer style". But ironically, after 3 months of living with the factory alloys, their style won me over permanent...

Reading all of this will leave you Tyred Out.

Part of being someone who deserves his/her car every year instead of just staying on a bus or train, includes not getting behind the steering wheel in driving conditions that you know are over your head. Over your head means you're bluffing to yourself that those poor wipers can show you the way tho...

Do It Myself? Dismounting the Rain Sensor Unit

:? I think our Dealerships are all the same when it comes to diagnosing a problem in our car. Very few believe in even popping off a cover and blowing out the dust, as a remedy for a problem you might be having with a sensor or latch! ("We won't do anything the manufacturer won't pay us for---it MUS...

Re: 17inc wheels and xes brakes

 Don’t commit your money to buying anything yet. I read somewhere from two sources, that the XE-S would not take 17” rims (not even Jaguar’s own brand), and that you would not be able to even fit them on the axle. I was warned repeatedly against trying 17” rims on my 25T, even though the 25T is...

Who has driven a "Velar"?

This dealership I use for my annual servicing is, a bit unique. Everytime you pass by the place, a fleet of the largest most expensive SUVs are parked and waiting at the service gate. Is these the queue of car owners waiting for repairs? Is the entire township in love with owning 4X4s, and sedan-own...
