if you take it back, they will know who done the work on the car, and will probably find your dipstick lying around in the offenders workspace!
Unbelievable, it’s a wonder you haven’t got oil spray all over the engine compartment. You really need to report this to Jaguar CRC

Re: I am absolutely gutted

There is a possible explanation for this.... the reason your foot has to be on the brake when selecting gears is twofold, firstly to ensure the car can’t move before you are ready for it to do so and secondly to operate the switch that allows you to select the gear. If the switch has come loose or m...

Re: At last a definitive answer- servicing requirements

Diesel service intervals are 2 years or sooner if the mileage is higher than 21000. However the car also calculates the number of starts and mileage and the service mileage will reduce for cars doing short journeys. Mine is now reading 15670 to next service and I have only done 1200 miles since the...

Re: Automatic Gear Oil Change

I'd urge some doubt about Jaguars view on matters when ZF (the box manuafacturer) says the oil should be changed at circa 150 k kilometers. https://aftermarket.zf.com/go/en/aftermarket-portal/passenger-cars-and-lcv/know-how/useful-tips/transmission-oil-change/ Maybe Jaguar expect the life of the ca...

Re: Locking Wheel Nut Key code

Spoke with my local stealer. They are quoting £92 for replacement set and 30 minutes labour for each wheel which will be £320. In total over £400. Is there any way out of this  I wish Jag would sort these lying stealers out... all they would have done is try their set of keys until they found ...

Re: Magnetic Jaguar

Happens to us all, regardless of brand, and for years I couldn’t understand why.... until I read somewhere that some drivers find it difficult to position their car between two white lines unless there is an adjacent car to guide them!

Re: Jaguar XE 2 year service

Bullcrap to clinch the deal, go back and insist they change the OSH to show the 21000 mile/two year service has been done and see what they say

Re: Misfire on starting then no power, XE 250p

I have had an intermittent fault when I have started from cold it has misfired with smell of unburnt fuel, (no lights displayed) then runs normal BUT if I put my foot down it has no power. I can cure this by pulling in switch off then switch on it,s back to normal. Anyone any ideas, Jag state if no...
