TPMS reset tool FOR HIRE - TPMS fix (winter tyres etc)
Mods, could someone make this an announcement/sticky please? Today I finally managed to fix an issue which has been bugging me for a year or two, namely TPMS sensors on my Winter wheels. I bought an Autel TS501 TPMS diagnostic tool, which can be used to program/diagnose and crucially in my case, act...

Re: How is your RWD XE in winter? Do you use winter tyres?
https://www.xeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=5770 XE is ok in the snow with the big caveat of hills/polished surfaces in which case winter tyres are a must (and a big safety bonus for icy mornings too). I got a set + wheels after getting stuck a couple of years back, it coped admirably right up u...

Re: Independent Jaguar Specialists
My XE is due for its yearly service in March. Phoned my local Jaguar Dealership in Watford. They have given me a quote of £735.00!!! I have emailed "Ultimate Cats" in Edgware and "Swallows" in Ruislip and await there replies. Will update here when I have replies with prices. Last year I paid just o...

Amazing that an earth cable could have such an effect on the rest of the car. Good to know, thanks for the update.

Re: XE S 340PS TDI CRTD4 Tuning box and DTUK TCU+ Transmission flash
I've not got round to rolling road yet, but I'll try and get it done ASAP... Car is DEFO quicker with the Tuning box for sure!
One note for anyone doing the TCU+ transmission flash, it only take about 10s, says it takes 30s in the generic instructions, so don't be worried, you are NORMAL

Re: XE S 340PS TDI CRTD4 Tuning box and DTUK TCU+ Transmission flash
It's hard to say if it is smoother, certainly less sluggish, the whole thing just feels more pleasant in terms of how it drives at the moment tbh and I find that in Sports/Dynamic mode in particular it appears to be a lot more intelligent in holding the revs up when I lift off before a corner (on th...

Re: XE S 340PS TDI CRTD4 Tuning box and DTUK TCU+ Transmission flash
So I dialled the TDI Tuning box up to 7 (max) for some fun on the way home from work today, it definitely makes a difference . I'd say it's more responsive and pulls harder from rest, with more torque all the way through to 'significant' speed! It's not night and day (like getting out of a 1....

Re: XE S 340PS TDI CRTD4 Tuning box and DTUK TCU+ Transmission flash
Correct, it's tied to the car. For me it was worth it, even if all it does is resets the adaptions, it means I can do it when I want vs a trip to the stealer! (I find the box seems to get lazy after a while, especially in 'D'...). As with the majority of these things (in the absence of independent t...

Re: XE S 340PS TDI CRTD4 Tuning box and DTUK TCU+ Transmission flash
Correct, it's not reversible unlike certain tuning boxes which save the old flash (NB the TDI tuning box is basically a piggyback ECU so alters the values sent by the car to the two sensors it plugs into thereby fooling the ECU, it doesn't actually overwrite anything). The only way back from the tra...
