How to quieten down aggressive aircon fans

Did you know you can change how hard the air con fans blow in the infotainment system, I've turned mine down and it's far less aggressive now! It's under Climate Settings, Auto air control, which you can change to SOFT "Settings icon: Touch to access the SETTINGS pop-up menu and then select Climate ...

Re: FIX: XE sewing machine rattle in passenger cabin (TSB)

Glad the new strap has worked for you. I was sitting in traffic the other evening with the engine running and it struck me that the only thing I could hear was the fan on first setting. Welcome to peace and quiet ! :D Talking of which, did you know you can change how hard the fan blows in the infot...

Re: FIX: XE sewing machine rattle in passenger cabin (TSB)

It's only an earth strap, not holding anything structural on, just do it til it's just starts to tighten, give it a little nip from there and just generally don't go mental on it!

Re: Windscreen Washer Fluid Loss

Just an update on mine as promised - not leaking now after replacement. Not sure they did both sides though (who knows these days with electronic service records you never see), but tbh as long as it's fixed, I'm happy!

Re: Looking to purchase an XE S

I’m getting around 24 to 28 mpg but usually closer to the 24 mark as most of my driving is in peak hour city traffic. On a good country run it will get as good as 30. We are fortunate to have cheaper fuel here with premium unleaded at around AUD 1.45 per litre (around £0.80) although this fluctuate...

Superb bit of kit, had one for keeping my XKR topped up, also used on XE and Octy when required!

Re: Potential buyer - few questions

If it helps I have Configurable Dynamics on my 16 plate XE S. They definitely change the way the car feels, a lot more pointed/twitchy/dynamic with it on which is great fun in the dry (less so in the wet  ). Not sure where you find it on normal ICT but on the PRO I think it is on the 3rd page o...

Re: Possible for thief to unlock doors without damage?

Sorry to hear that... gutted for you, although glad to hear no damage... Not sure you'll ever know what's happened unless the dealer could perhaps interrogate the security system for commands? I've managed to leave mine unlocked before now, as a result I always wait for the beep and check the mirror...

Re: Windscreen motor

Hmmm, must be frozen in the pipe then... I'm using ridiculous strength screenwash so that shouldn't be the case but they weren't working on occasion despite having had all the heating systems on...
