Re: No new XE for me.....

Lack of availability seems often referred to here. On a rare trip to "the tip" in Stone last week whilst in the queue I decided to have a nosey at the 5000 ish capacity JLR store site. You can't get very close to the cars and the difference between XE and XF from distance is hard to spot but.......t...

So much of left wing thought is a kind of playing with fire by people who don't even know that fire is hot. George Orwell.

Re: Jaguar XE Minor Quirks and Annoyances

Blimey Vespa that Aztec really is an ugly car.....it makes the "made from a random box of bits" Nissan Juke look good, and that is an achievement.

Re: Jaguar XE Minor Quirks and Annoyances

I certainly think the 200 ps Ingenium is a noisy start up..... my supplying dealer before its closure lined up 2 others to start from cold in response to my moaning and they were all the same. My neighbour has a twin turbo diesel Cayenne and comments that the XE is a noisier start up rather too regu...

Re: Jaguar XE Minor Quirks and Annoyances

Bazzamf..... my allusion to Metallica melodies may be a tad tongue in cheek. Their seminal album Kill 'em all and its key track The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse are admittedly not overly melodic. My poorly made point was that an old tech CD player is much missed.....I wouldn't know a memory stick fr...

Re: Jaguar XE Minor Quirks and Annoyances

I tend to agree Bazzamf I have the same engine and have the same cold start up noise. Dealer says that it is "normal" only consolation is it stands alongside my wife's Golf GTI in the garage .....which is worse, again dealer says it is "normal". I confess that the dreadful rear vision and lack of rea...

Re: what's your car trade in history to your 1st Jaguar?

Well pointed out Pete Mck.....following your warning I checked and "What was your first car ?" is one of the contact prompt questions on a couple of financial product accounts that I have. And looking at my list I even missed off a couple of Escorts ( 1300 and 1600) I had in the 80's...can't imagine...

Re: Smart Motorways (Again)

In Dec 19 my local newspaper ( following yet another M6 shunt in the Stafford/Stoke area smart section) requested readers to contact the MP Sir Bill Cash with opinions on the smart motorway roll out. I duly did so,with a very negative response citing the record of local reported problems and persona...
