Re: Observation Skills

Grey, blue and black are colours that is not readily seen by other drivers because they tend to blend with the background. Grey and black especially are the same colour as the road surface. The safest colours for any car are white and yellow (Yuk).

Re: Replacing damaged tyres - Stick with Dunlop?

Use the Blackcircles web site as they can offer a good selection of tyres suitable for our cars. I probably would not go down the Dunlop route. I have just had some Avon winter tyres fitted and I am impressed with them, so will probably go down the Avon route when my Dunlops need replacing. They are...

Re: Annoying Rattle Resolved

I have had a little play and managed to make the photo smaller, so here are the offending pipes.

Hehe nice one!

Can you come and have a look at my Fiesta's glovebox next?
I'm very fussy where I put my fingers. ;)

Re: Annoying Rattle Resolved

Congratulations and I know how good you must feel. Is there any chance of a photo pointing out the offending tubes? This could help others who are likewise affected and preferably before you sell your skills to sort out any wayward Fiesta's. :) I did take some photos in the hope of putting them on ...

Annoying Rattle Resolved

I've had a small annoying rattle since I have had the car. It only occurred when the engine was revving between 1000 and 1500 rpm. I thought it was coming from somewhere on or under the dash board. I kept touching various parts of the dash in an effort to find something loose and found nothing, so I...

Re: Upgrading from XE to XF?

All you would get is a slightly larger car. I've had two XFs as courtesy cars and for some reason, I cannot explain, I was always pleased to get my XE back. If you need the extra space then go for the XF. If you don't, I would stick with the XE.

Re: Winter Wheels + Tyres?

Why don't you just change the tyres. Do what I did and get a mobile fitter in to fit your new winter tyres then get him back next spring to change them back. My one charges about £15 per tyre. It's far cheaper than forking out several hundred pounds for wheels you might not like.

Re: Remote start won’t work. Updated by jaguar worked for a week

I'm fascinated by how the remote start works. I parked in a hospital car park the other day. My wife went in for some physio and I walked to get a paper. It was cold so on the way back I thought I would try to start the car remotely. I couldn't see the car and was probably a good 300-400 yards away....

Re: Winter Tyres

Just had a set of Avon WV7 winter tyres fitted this afternoon. I've been for a quick spin and they seem quieter than the original Dunlop Sport, which are now stored in my garage until next spring. Hopefully I will be able to get out of my Close, which is up hill, this year if it snows.
