Re: My Local Dealership Has Moved

If you're happy with them, why change? Finding a decent dealer is hit and miss - one person may be happy with them but you might find them awful. It's only 26 miles and hopefully you don't need to see them that often. I'd be chuffed if my nearest decent dealer was only 26 miles away (rather than 65...

Re: Not locking

I agree with Vespa regarding charging the battery. It's an AGM battery so make sure your charger is suitable for this type. I think a lot of members ,like me who own chargers, have the Ctek MSX5. There are others on the market though.

My Local Dealership Has Moved

My local Jag dealer, who I have been happy with up to now, has moved from Amersham to Aston Clinton, into one of those large combined showroom efforts. It is now 26 miles away from me, so not so local. My two other options are now Lancaster in Slough or Beadles in Watford. Has anyone any experience ...

Thanks to both Vespa and Phil for throwing some light on the subject for me and I am certain for others on this forum.

My mates 1970 Hillman Hunter sounds better and I think if my car sounded like that it would be gone.

Re: Autoglym Lifeshine - is it worth it?

I'm not into spending loads of time cleaning my car. It's garaged most of the time so saves it from a lot of bad weather. However, it still gets dirty and I find the Williams waterless car wash is the answer. It takes about an hour, but when I have finished the car looks like it has just come out of...

Re: Driving Modes

I stand to be corrected but I think it’s an Engine management “thing”. If “Start-stop” is selected as off and the car is on long period of tickover, it seems to default to Normal mode until the engine has cleared it’s throat, then reverts back to Dynamic mode. Start-stop?? What's that? Mines hasn't...

Re: Buying new vs used

I bought my 9 month old ex demo car outright at a great discount. However, my next car will probably be leased. You can get some good deals at the moment and it takes away the problem of selling or PX'ing when the time comes for a new car. Just give the car back after 3 years and get a new one.

Re: Home TV's

We recently bought a Panasonic TV, which has all the catch up AP's you will need. Yes you will need a decent broadband to use them though and this goes for all TVs. In addition to this, we have a Roku Stick, which we use all of the time. It's much quicker than the TV APs and enables Netflix, NowTV, ...
