Massive XE Discount

I thought I would have a little play with Car Wow a few days ago. I specified a 250ps HSE at just under the £40k. It had all the little extras I would want apart from metallic paint and I was truly amazed at the prices that came back. The list price ended up at £39,605 with the best offer being £32,...

Re: Tyre Pressure Monitoring Valves

Thanks for the info PhilB. If I go down the route of new wheels, I will have to bite the bullet on the TPMS valves it seems. I didn't appreciate that they are required to be programmed to suit the car. I have also learnt that the batteries in these things have a life of about 5 years. An expensive r...

Re: New MY20 Jaguar XE P250 S - Finally collected

It may be the base car but you seem to have most of the nice to haves and the 250ps engine, which makes me a little envious. A good choice and it looks great. I like the location of the photos they could be from a brochure.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring Valves

I'm thinking about buying some new wheels for my winter tyres. The ones I am looking at do not have valves fitted. Does anyone know the part number or any other details that would help me locate some reasonably priced valves that would work with the XE. I have seen some on Ebay at £67.50 for four, w...

Re: Side air vent

I did it once when I first got the car, but that was enough for me to learn. I haven't done it since.

Re: Software updates

Just had my software upgraded to resolve the stop start issue which it has cleared. However I have noticed a significant drop in mpgs. Anyone noticed this What elements did they upgrade? When I had mine updated for the s/s system malfunction, a few weeks ago, they updated the GWM, PCM and the TCM a...

Re: Is your usual passenger . .

I have one of those and she does not even drive and she is getting worse as she gets older. It's just as well she doesn't drive though because she insists on calling the near side lane the one nearest the centre of the road. I found this out when I tried to teach her drive many years ago. Help!!!

Re: Was your previous car a Mazda 6

I can't compare the XE to the 6 just yet, as I'm picking up the XE this afternoon, but I am one of those: My 3 previous cars (including the current one) have been Mazda 6. I've always had the saloon as I don't need the practicality of the estate/hatchback, and I much prefer the look of saloons in g...

Re: Was your previous car a Mazda 6

I had two Mazda 6 estates before my XE. The second one was the new shape and the first brand new car I bought. Loved it in many ways but it was definitely a Friday afternoon car, loads of problems with the electrics, the brakes and an incompetent dealer to boot. Binned it in the end at a big loss f...

Re: What a difference a few year makes

I bet the new one will have some quirks by the time it is the same age. I was actually trying to say that I thought Jag were over the quality issues that I’d assumed they had. You don’t seem to be convinced that’s the case though :?: I'm just being a cynical old geezer, I guess. I have alway...
