Re: Intake Pipe

it will be a heat sink for your incoming air so could actually slightly decrease power - not that you'd notice such a slight change. Cooler is more dense so would improve performance Metal pipes will transfer more underbonnet heat into the air being drawn into the engine in theory, reducing power. ...

So if the aluminium acts as a heat sink and warms the air how is that cooler exactly?

Re: Intake Pipe

+15BHP at the wheels - I'll have 2! Just something else to clean - and I reckon being aluminium it will be a heat sink for your incoming air so could actually slightly decrease power - not that you'd notice such a slight change. You'll get better results by just sticking Tesco Momentum 99 Ron ...

Re: Gearbox Question

Why do you think the revs are too low for it? Remember it has 8 ratios so will soon drop a gear if you want to accelerate - or to maintain set cruise speed on a hill. To hold the gear put it in Sport and select the gear you want to tell the transmission to stay in. Not had my XE for a while now but ...

Re: 2015 XE - Advice

I also live there now - be warned! haha. I had a 65 plate R-Sport 200. I had a few early niggles that were minor in nature, but loved the car and the original Ford produced engine - found it had very low NVH levels. As simpler says, you could sometimes outwit the transmission and it would drop more ...

Re: Finally fixed juddering wipers!

Yep, to my mind it's pointless to apply such a product to a screen that has a wiper on it anyway. If it's wet I want the water fully clearing not to look through beading water - and the auto wipers will still kick in anyway, so I really don't see the point. If the groomers don't use it - can't imagi...
