Re: Can I replace my SportMaxx tyres with fatter tyres?

The Dunlops are are a very astute perfect match for the XE, do not 'create' , in my use, any negative attributes. They grip extra well in the wet, and this is clearly misunderstood under breakaway. It is up to the driver to control the car, not the equipment to control the driver !! Sorry....Fact.

Re: Can I replace my SportMaxx tyres with fatter tyres?

I'd recommend to buy yourself a Volvo or some such like instead. Jaguar is a sports saloon. If you don't agree with half of it's very well conceived attributes it's honestly better to change the car, not half of it, at great waste !

Re: Petrol exhaust filter regeneration

Slightly off on a tangent, but regarding BP Ultimate diesel Fuel. The Land Rover Experience Off-Road driving organisation use only BP Ultimate in all their sizeable fleets, apart from Defenders. The durability of their diesel particulate filters is simply STAGGERING ! These cars do mainly 10mph all ...

Re: XE 2016-18 2.0L Engine Recall

Incidentally, my 2012 VW 1.6 Tdi Golf has been through all the emissions recall rigmarole. At 90,000 miles it runs simply fantastically. Always fuelled with BP Ultimate.......

Re: XE 2016-18 2.0L Engine Recall

I have a 2018 model Ingenium 250 bhp petrol. I run it only on Shell V-power. The grade of petrol and V power means it cleans and lubricates the engine, leading to cleaner exhaust output. My 2007 Discovery 3 TDV6 gives better CO2 output according to the V5 document, compared to the same car on a 2006...

Re: Michelin PS4s tyres

These tyres are engineered for V8 twin turbos and the like, cars with significantly higher power ratings. A huge bellyful of engine power is absorbed when these Michelins present their hugely reinforced carcasses and ultra load bearing tread construction towards cornering. Most of the humble Jaguar ...

Re: XE 2016-18 2.0L Engine Recall

At one point in time, every car engine in the world suffered huge dramatic loss of CO2 output when we all went over to catalysed engines. So Jags are about to lose the odd molecule of CO2 here or there ! Come on, schoolchildren .....

The legal firm involved with the VW class action is the very same bunch of characters who were at the forefront of prosecuting our heroes coming back from Afghanistan .

Re: XE 2016-18 2.0L Engine Recall

The 2006 to 2007 Discovery 3 production involved a significant CO2 decrease, otherwise performance and everything else remained identical. These pages are crammed with diy chipping upgrade stories, yet when Jaguar announce an official one to make a small CO2 output difference there is uproar. What a...

Re: Young Drivers

Overall, it may be why mid 20's drivers occupy lane two on a deserted A43 in perpetuity, so when you come to politely flash the and indicate to pass legally, invariably you get the middle finger salute ! The hard standing next to the central armco is more like sanctuary to them, in preference to the...
