Re: Diesel Fuel and water

Ford Audi and BMW have devised a fob that if not moved for 40 secs shuts down any signals until it is moved again. Sounds good but I can see problems such as it not waking up on movement and thieves breaking in to steal the keys if they are determined. Apparently Ford are making this fob available ...

Re: Incontrol unavailable

Back when I was first on the internet, in 1995, the standing joke on the support newsgroup when Demon Internet fell over was that a cleaner had unplugged their server to plug her hoover in.... Apparently it fell over at the same time four or five sundays on the trot, and eventually they arranged to ...

Re: Incontrol unavailable

Almost right, now :D The journey info etc is all there, including my trips from yesterday when the system seemed to be totally down, but it still claims the car is parked in a no-signal area... Parked on my drive as usual, where it normally has a good signal :) Looks like another weekend of "server ...

Re: XE P300 MY20 review

MInd you, the BMW will absolutely cuff either version of XE on fuel consumption. :( BUT, its still a BMW. Not a jaguar. :D Wot 'e said... If I'd have been worried about mpg, I'd have bought a diesel, not a 300ps petrol beastie :D Mind you, the XE is very little thirstier than my last petrol m...

Re: Dark Side

Go for the 300 :D I admit, I might be biased.... But whichever XE you go for, I'm sure you'll enjoy it! As for auto hold, it depends what you mean - the XE electric handbrake releases automatically when you pull away, and it also has the hill start assist function where it holds the footbrake briefl...

Re: XE To Be Included in Jaguar Fixed Price Service Scheme

I put my reg in, and it came up with a 21k/2 year plan, but there was an option for an alternative plan which was the 16k/1 year plan, again with 3 services, at just over 900 quid!

You do sometimes wonder if JLR know what they are doing.... :D

Re: Alloy tyre valve caps - looked great..but..

If we are wandering off to the land of pointless bling... My Portfolio has the configurable mood lighting, usually set to a nice relaxing purple. Driving back from taking my parents to visit family just outside Chester yesterday, cruising back down the A41, SWMBO commented "I thought the coloured li...

Do track runs count? Managed to get 6.1 mpg in my old XE-S according to the journey history.
I don't see why not, but I hope you were averaging at least a few more mph than I was!
