Re: Ford v Ingenium

Even though both engines claimed to have the similar capacity, H.P., and torque, they, in fact, got the done job differently. I carried some tests on both Ford 20t and Ingenium 20t back to back with my friends, by using an OBDII reader capturing the live data of the boost and intake manifold absolut...

Catch or No Catch?

HI, I have been googling lately on the subject of Oil Catch Can, and is wondering if any of the XE owners have installed one. Some argue that only older generations GDI would need such device to separate the oil from the air, however, some believe even the newest GDI engines are fundamentally struct...

I do hear my fan kick in sometimes but is pretty sparse, can never hear it when engine is running, I only notice it when engine gets switched off.
I hear it clearly when the audio is off or turned down. So annoying.

Re: ICT unit - noisy fan

At first, I thought the whining noise was from the a/c centre vents, and in fact, it's actually a fan behind or under the touchscreen that running non-stop. It sounds like one of those laptop computer fans, but even noisier. Disregarding the outside and inside temperatures, it would just turn on af...

Re: Searching for STJLR.51.5122 approved lubricant

I've just searched my supplier and there seems to be a new Millers oil that is also compliant with the spec. https://www.opieoils.co.uk/search/go?w=stjlr.51.5122 I've also had a look at their International shipping and allowing for 1 litre being about 1 kg it's looking like around £50 to £60 to shi...

Re: Searching for STJLR.51.5122 approved lubricant

It's been discussed on here quite a few times and like you have found, the choices are very limited. In the UK numbers 1,2 & 3 are available from limited suppliers and the new Mobil is still very rare (and expensive!) From my research here only the first 4 specifically show that they are compliant ...

Searching for STJLR.51.5122 approved lubricant

Since the dealer in my country (H.K.) charges me a fortune for a simple oil change (over GBP300 per change), I have decided to start my search for lubricants for my 2.0 Ingenium AJ200. Below are my findings so far: 1. Castrol Edge Professional E 0w-20 (Jaguar) Fully Synthetic Engine Oil 2. Motul Spe...

Re: UNDER HOOD PETROL FUEL LEAK

Sorry, I have no intention to cause any unnecessary panic to anyone. I just thought it would be nice to inform those who are currently driving a 2018 XE 2.0 might have such issue. It wouldn't hurt to make a call the dealer or check the TOPIx to confirm.

UNDER HOOD PETROL FUEL LEAK

H081 - UNDER HOOD PETROL FUEL LEAK https://jlr.oemdtc.com/214/h081-fuel-leak-in-engine-compartment-2018-jaguar-xe-xf-e-pace-f-pace-f-type It seems like there's a recall for 2018 Jaguar XE, XF, E-PACE, F-PACE and F-TYPE vehicles equipped with a 2.0L gasoline engine. Unfortunately, it came up on my TO...
