Strange paddle shifting behaviour?

Could someone please check out or tell me, if it is normal, that the automatic transmission shifts down more than only one gear, when pulling the paddle in D at around 35 to 37 mph (56-60 km/h), from 6th gear down to 3rd or 4th gear? Seems odd. The RPM go up from 1100 to way more than 2000. It only ...

I am experiencing something quiet similar. While braking from whatever speed it is almost impossible to maintain a continuous deceleration . It describes best, as if the engine / transmission are working against the brakes. Whenever the transmission shifts down a gear, braking gets in a very percept...
