Re: Qi wireless charging retrofit

Bad idea? What did people think was bad about it? I think it was just the fact of it being on whenever the car was on and not being official so future owners wouldn't know about it. I never had a problem, and the guy I sold the car to said he thought it was great. I'll be doing the same again on my...

Re: Qi wireless charging retrofit

I did the same a while back on my XE-S and people said what a bad idea it was... I think it's actually an official option from jaguar now!

Handy isn't it?

Re: XE (petrol) 2015 onwards reliability scores high

Weren't the early petrol engines ford lumps though? So more a case of ford being reliable rather than jaguar?

Re: Automatic or Manual

Also bear in mind that remote start (pre-heat/cooling) is only available on automatics if that matters to you?

Re: XE To Be Included in Jaguar Fixed Price Service Scheme

Personally I wouldn't buy a service plan, even though I tend to keep my cars for a long time (last X-type for 12 years). What if it got written off, and I decided to replace with some other make? Service plans are generally with a third party, so in the event of a write off or selling the vehicle y...

For sale: Continental winter tyres for 20" propellers

Up for sale off my XE-S I have: A pair of Continental winter tyres - WinterContact TS830P in size 265/30 R20. A pair of Continental winter tyres - WinterContact TS860S in size 235/35 R20. These are fantastic tyres and keep your car literally glued to the road - I've already purchased them again in a...

Re: Fuel gauge, strange issues.

Yes! I had really bad fuel gauge and 'distance to empty' issues after a software update, it was so bad I got rid of the car in the end as I couldn't trust it. I could fill up, drive from Birmingham to Doncaster and upon arrival would still have a full tank according to the fuel gauge. On several occ...

Re: Rear Wheel Arch - Parking damage

You'll find quite a lot body shops can't do the repair as you need dedicated facilities for aluminium repair - bad things happen when steel and aluminium dust mix. When someone did in the back end of mine I had to have the rear quarter replaced on both sides (in addition to other bits) - one of them...
