I hadn't driven mine for a fortnight but I drove a short distance yesterday for my daily exercise, partly because I noticed one of my brake discs was beginning to show more than the usual amount of rust pitting. Some medium hard braking during the 5 minute run seems to have alleviated the issue.

Nothing there about driving in snow but luckily, as you know Kevin, we don't get much snow in Suffolk so don't have to worry too much about the pros and cons of different wheel sizes but even so, a 225/17 is the same width as a 225/19 so would have the same footprint in the snow. Have you considered using something else for the speed cameras?
My dashcam has audible warnings for these and operate completely separate to everything else.

Totally agree with you on the built-in map update extortion BTW.

Yes - one of the best things I ever bought - still makes me smile on a Monday and Friday morning when mine is set to cut the lawn :D
