Is a car cover worth it?

We've recently moved house and my XE is now out in the open 24/7 not so bothered about the rain but concerned about direct sunlight, I was doing a bit of ferreting on the web (yeah, I know!) and I was wondering if a car cover is something to consider? Re: Hi - new XE-S owner

Seems about the right price. Mine was a year newer, bought back in March and was also £25k with 22k miles. A lot of the S's seem to do very low mileage, presumably as they are bought as weekend toys/second cars. Not sure why, I'm amazed at the economy. Mine does a 50 mile round trip commute, but be...

Re: Full detail...

I fully agree with Autoglym stuff, it's excellent, I can spend hours on a thorough clean, unfortunately I then have to park under a tree, the birds really admire my paintwork and show me their appreciation, ahh well nevermind... out with the wash bucket for another pleasant few hours, :D

I can vouch for the V6 XES 380bhp - go for that spec - :D  :o I would avoid the distance cruise control unless you can't live without it and you don't mind the flat plastic front grill logo thingy!!

Re: Rusty front disc brakes

All mine are rusty but Jaguar will not replace them as they are within acceptable limits - I have posted on this in another thread - the outer edges are rusty and the calipers have no contact in this area, from what I recall the rust needs to be 15mm width and mine were 13mm, so they refused my claim.
