Re: Rear brake pads

I questioned this at the Jag Specialist when I had a service. The cars only done 15000 but he advised changing the rear pads. I said that in my 40 years of driving I've never had to change rear pads at such a low mileage. He told me that the car uses the rear brakes on cornering. I think he said tor...

Re: Boot Space

Unfortunately my 2nd hand car hasn't got the folding seats. It isn't an issue until I need something from the DIY store or a run to the skip.
Luckily i have a runabout with removable seats for these jobs.
If I ever bought another XE I would definitely go for the folding seat.

Re: Independent Jaguar Specialists

I'm guessing they haven't signed up. They are definitely an independent garage.

Re: Independent Jaguar Specialists

Hopefully this will help anyone looking for independents. http://the-jaguar-specialist-register.com/independent-jaguar-specialists/ I can't see my local Jag Specialist on this list (The Jag Specialist in Doncaster), bit strange as they only maintain Jaguars and are highly recommended on all Jaguar ...

Re: Petrol vs Diesel

Definitely petrol for short journeys. My previous diesel X Type with DPF was constantly regenerating, I had to change the oil 3 times a year and my journeys were 13 mile each way to work with longer journeys in between. My current petrol XE is actually slightly better on fuel than the X Type diesel ...

I use the one near Doncaster. The Jag Specialist.
Highly recommended.
Third year service on my 20t petrol was £170.
Service history was updated online.

Re: Are Jaguar Dealers Linked?

If its a Jaguar approved warranty you can use any Jag dealership. I bought my previous X Type in Stockton but used a different Jaguar dealership in Hull for some warranty work.

Re: Independent Specialists

Same here, I was quoted £384 at my local main dealer for the XE 20T's third year service, I took it to The Jag Specialist near Doncaster. Cost me £170, all logged online.
How can there be a £214 difference in price?
