Re: Approved used warranty

Thanks guys, especially those who have experience of using the approved used warranty - gives me some confidence I should be able to get the issues sorted!

Yep they’ll fit; I took a gamble and fitted et45 9.5j to the rear and they are as far out in the arch as can be. I also have 8.5j fronts which fit fine.

Approved used warranty

Does anyone have experience of how good the approved used warranty is? My main warranty is now up, but I have a year approved used left to run and I have some issues that I feel should be covered on a pampered car that has only covered 12000 miles in 3.5 years: - condensation in high level rear brak...

Re: Loud BANG! ! ! & Instant PANIC ! ! !

I’ve popped off a turbo hose on one of my old cars - certainly go with a bang don’t they! Mine was the same situation, the pipe hadn’t been fully seated on the metal part it joined to and under a bit of hard acceleration off it popped. A reseat and tighten of the jubilee clip saw it fine for the res...

Re: What type of system do I have?

I’ve read that you cannot swap the unit out for one from another Jag XE as they’re coded to the car, but you can swap out for an aftermarket unit as seen here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xe-x ... ia-213980/

Re: Car is very jerky for first couple of minutes, normal?

It’s ~20 seconds in my xe to finish the cold start if it’s a completely cold engine. You should see start up revs of ~1500 which then drop to ~750 after that period.

Re: Car is very jerky for first couple of minutes, normal?

Are you letting it finish the ‘cold start’? I find that if I drive off before that has finished (i.e. revs have dropped to normal) then it is a bit jerky. I try and let it finish every time unless I’m in a rush.

Re: AEB

I’ve had the above happen in similar situations too.

Top gear recently had a segment on it where they tried to get it to activate using cardboard cutouts and such. All that happened was the car ploughed through them!

Re: Lets see your other cars!

Skyline R33 GTR, should never have sold it with prices now rocketing! Was immaculate and had 502 bhp. When the turbos kicked in it felt like a punch in the chest. Re: Drivers seat

I bought a bottle of the gliptone 1208 that was mentioned and it didn’t seem to make a difference - 12000 mile r-sport seats going baggy and slight cracks in the perforated sections despite regular leather conditioning.
