Re: Recording Independent Service

When my XE was serviced the dealer still gave me a printed invoice with the reg number VIN etc & all details of what was done. The online service record isnt hugely important. A paper full service history is better imho. Why not just keep the receipt and details of work carried out from your indepe...

Exactly and it's a crying shame these people are left unchecked and a law unto themselves.

Re: Is the end nigh for Tesla?

Interesting indeed especially given I have money invested in Tesla! I've read that their manufacturing techniques could be considerably improved with attendant increases in production quantity and significant decreases in costs. I haven't yet listened to John Cadagon but I'm sure as ever he will hav...

Entirely agree Mike. These folk may well be able to assist:L https://rimmerbros.com/ItemSearch--search-Track-Rod--srcin-1 My sesarch was based on an XE and this is what came up. I'm sure a quick call might yield a definitive answer. I guess you could even buy and return if incorrect. Hope this assis...

Re: K452 - Track rod end torque

Hi Guys, I need a place where I can buy a front track rod end and toe rod. Do you know any online stores which sells those parts ? I phoned jaguar and for above two it’s 250 :). Thanks Seriously £250, is someone having a laugh! These are common parts and should cost less than £20. Seeing these sort...

Re: Pads and discs at 20k?

Seems odd that there are so many owners who are having problems with their brake discs. Does make you wonder whether JLR were supplied with a significant batch that were not up to scratch. Have to say my fronts are just fine but the rears whilst not terrible started of (at least under my ownership) ...

Re: ECU Remap and Air Filter

Bit of a bizarre solution to the omnipresent stop start problem! Reading between the lines sounds like you are very pleased with the outcome ( :D ) but are there any negatives you've picked up on or is it early days and too soon to tell? Presumably it's also difficult/impossible to know the car has ...

Re: Vibration from the floor

Don't know if it's any help but on the underside of the car are some fibre boards that flap like a flag in the wind well at least when you lift and release them. This video highlights their looseness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nq6ZyAYqyM Could it be that under certain circumstances they vibra...
