Re: Stone Chip Repair kits

I've never been sure of the best/correct way to repair a chip but I came across this video and it would seem to show a well defined technique. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GzoycIdX2w Regretfully I have a tiny dent/chip on my bonnet and if you didn't know it was there you wouldn't know but unfort...

Re: Boot Space

Couldn't agree more and I must confess I slipped up and bought a car without this feature. I think every other saloon car i have had over the last 35 years has had this as standard.

Re: Different temperature air conditioning

Yes Vespa Jag did use it even when it wasn't necessary but obviously a wise thing to have done given the production life of the car. Interestingly there are other refrigerants in the pipeline which are even more eco friendly and without the problems created by the current flavour of the month. Appar...

Re: Different temperature air conditioning

We have a local air con fellow to us and he has some very useful information on his web site which explains the ins and outs of the different refirgerants and their respective limitations. Might be a worthy read if you've got a few minutes to spare. http://sibotservices.co.uk/latest-gasses-now-at-si...

Re: My journey with Jaguar

Good grief surely that exhaust shake and rattle cannot be right! If that's "by design" then I would be highly inclined to check there isn't a dung pile nearby smelling of BS. Is it any wonder you're getting these rattles and next the system will fall aprt due to metal fatigue. Take it to another dea...

Re: Rear led light not working

It's incredibly difficult to get the rear lights of the car and in particular the offside one i.e. on the right when standing behind the car. I've attached a picture of sorts and arrowed the single securing "screw/nut". This is a grey plastic item about 1.5 to 2 inches (40 to 50 mm) in length and ha...

Re: 2015 Jaguar XE totally dead

Good point but in case PaulA doesn't know it there are connections to the battery inside the engine bay. Conceivably he could check the voltage there or hook up a battery charger. Moreover he could jump start from those connections. https://www.xeforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=6803 Cheers Phil, ...
