Re: Best MPG You've Had?
According to my eco data thing, the “best” trip is 75mpg @ 99%. I don’t think I was driving it that day.

Re: Standard ICT Sat Nav Updates
Despite just having paid for the upgrade, I have been hit for a £30 fine by Glasgow City Council for driving through a two-block bus gate while following the SatNav instructions to get to an hotel one block further south on the same road. Fair enough the new signs are visible on the video (and the b...

Re: Standard ICT Sat Nav Updates
Does anyone know if the rumoured October 2019 update is available?
I need to update but could wait a wee bit longer for a better version. Thanks

Re: It’s time Jaguar owner
Lovely car! Winter (or all season) tyres every time. Winter tyres on a RWD car should give you better traction on snow & ice than most vehicles running on summer tyres (many AWD included) - BMW are made in Bavaria after all. As for using all the bells & whistles for driving in snow & ice, I think th...

What Are These For?
I’m Intrigued by the two “cutouts” in the dots and black stuff at the base of the windscreen. Can’t see any good reason for them unless they’re for something I haven’t got.

Re: New Tyres - TPMS knackered?
It was the sensor that got knackered during fitting the tyres. Drove +/- 100 miles with all sorts of warnings flashing. Same story - front left not monitoring pressures. I went back to the tyre dealer this morning. Lots of apologies, they let me in in front of the 8-car queue for winter tyres (not a...

New Tyres - TPMS knackered?
Just had new winter tyres fitted (Michelin Alpin6) to my 17" Aerodynamic rims with 2 month old (perfectly functioning) TPMS On leaving the Tyre Dealer I got a TPMS waning <<check all tyre pressures>> (or something similar) Stopped, looked at the monitor. NSF reading zero, the other three all over th...

Re: FIX: XE sewing machine rattle in passenger cabin (TSB)
As I live quite a long way from a dealer, I decided to buy the replacement strap to fit myself.
However, everything is aluminium so I dread stripping out the bolts when tightening.
I can’t find the correct torque settings anywhere.
Does anyone know what they should be?
Thanks.

Re: Resetting TPMS "handbook" values (and tyre /rim size questions)
Thanks, everybody, for the help & advice. Much appreciated. I'm not smart enough to work out why the rim size affects CO2 emissions (surely it would be down to the rolling resistance of the tyre??) Looks like it's back to 17" rims for me, if I wan't to avoid the warning messages & lights (today I wa...
