Re: Jaguar Remote App

I downloaded the new app (version 2). I still have the old version too. On the app store it says the new app will replace the old app in 2020. I suspect the new app is still at Beta stage as it doesn't have the full functionality of version 1. The following are missing: Wake up timer, Service mode, ...

Re: Auto cut off engine / eco mode

Is your car under warranty? Mine was fixed under warranty. First a software update (which didn't cure the problem) then a new battery was fitted. It works now.

Re: New puncture proof tyres

Anybody remember the Dunlop Denovo tyres in the 70's. They had to have special wheels. They were only made for certain cars, including the Mini.

Re: ICT (Nonpro) retrofit sat nav and app/wifi?

The wifi requires an extra slot for the card. This is inside the central armrest compartment. So you would need to change components there. You would most likely need a different section of wiring loom, plus different software. All in all I would guess the job would be very complicated and expensive...

Re: Keyless cars

I recently read a test report in "Carbuyer", on the best faraday bags to buy. The "Defender" came top of the list. I just bought 2 from Amazon for less than £8 the pair. They are also big enough to fit an iPhone 7plus if you are ever worried about your phone being hacked. They block the signal 100%....

Re: Vibration from the floor

I just coated the underside of the fibre where it had ripped and the aluminium floor pan with a coat of Evo-stik contact adhesive using a old wooden lolly stick, left it to dry for 10 mins or so and then pushed fibre against the metal and applied pressure for a bit and then let go and it was fine. ...

Re: Vibration from the floor

Don't know if it's any help but on the underside of the car are some fibre boards that flap like a flag in the wind well at least when you lift and release them. This video highlights their looseness: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nq6ZyAYqyM Could it be that under certain circumstances they vibr...

I very rarely use it, but it works pretty well when I do. Just speak clearly.

I've got to agree with Delboy on that gear stick. The rotary selector is one of the (many) reasons I like being in my XE. Drove a new auto Evoque the other day and really didn't like the gear selector. If it's the same as in the E Pace then I do agree with you Delboy. I had use of an E Pace for a s...
