Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

I've had my XE for 9 months and done 7,000 miles and the Start/Stop hasn't activated once. Which is nice.

Re: Does anyone know....

Isn't it supposed to be a sign of good luck ?

Given the volume there I'd get myself a Lucky Dip lotto ticket tonight if I were you

Re: Anyone still looking for a new V6 XE-S (380)

That is lovely. If I hadn't blown £28k on my 16 plate six months ago I'd be finding the extra £8k now and buying that one !

Other than having (pet hate alert) THE WRONG SHAPED REAR PLATE, it's near perfect 😋

Re: Sewing machine FIX FIX FIX

It is one of those noises that, once you hear it, and tune into it, you can't not hear it again. I'm convinced this is why some magazine road testers said the V6 motor was 'coarse'. Too right it was. Mine sounded horribly 'tappety' at higher revs - and especially on the overrun. It was horrible. The...

Re: Lack of manual option

Blimey. I love the auto and wouldn't go back to a manual if you paid me. All that mucking about with a clutch and stirring a stick. Give me a lovely torque converter auto all day long......:D Edited to add. You need at least 300bhp. My parents have a 100 bhp Ford Focus auto and it's painfully slow....

Re: Locking Wheel Nut Key "D"

Your local Jag dealer should have a master key / full set or whatever?

I had something similar with an XKR a few years ago and my local Jag dealer sorted it no problem...

Re: Sewing machine FIX FIX FIX

Find your earth strap, and see if it's the taut, unbraided original one. I don't think it matters which strap you have. I fixed mine with the 'Halfords' fix, then had a new (different) strap fitted under warranty which had the same old problem. So i had to re-apply the Halfords fix. And have left i...
