Re: Oil consumption on 2.0 diesel

My previous car was a VAG petrol turbo. The official guidance on that was 0.5l per 1000km!

Re: Fuel Ecenomy on Automatics - Advice Please

Drive it and enjoy! I try not to use mine for short journeys, and so I average mid 50's. Mid 40's if I'm in the mood though ;)

Re: Passenger Side Rear Shock Absorber

I always have a look on the auction site's, there's usually something there that can assist in pricing parts :D

Re: Passenger Side Rear Shock Absorber

Yes, I would have expected to pay more. I also might have thought that both rear shocks should be changed at the same time.

Re: Passenger Side Rear Shock Absorber

To be honest, I'm amazed at the price quoted by Jaguar. You sure they added the parts price in the quote?

Re: Oil consumption on 2.0 diesel

I don't think you need to worry, oil consumption is not usually an issue on the Xe. Unlike some cars I could mention!

Re: Rear brake discs - how long roughly

I've found Apec to have a good website that lists parts and sizes in a clear format. From there it's easy to compile the parts required and get prices from online sellers. All my pads and discs can be sourced for less than £250! https://apecbraking.co.uk/Catalogue.aspx Double check the sizes though!...

Post no2 in this thread. Hold source for 20 secs should do the trick.
