Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

Since Jaguar dealership on Wednesday it’s been working fine. Had one day where I had nothing but only stopped once and perhaps wasn’t ready except that all good. Voltage sticking at 12.3 now which is interesting. I’m not holding my breathe as if it goes off again I’m just changing the battery and ho...

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

Back from local dealer and some interesting points! No fault codes found when plugged in but that’s no shock. They found the ‘cold cranking amps’ were low and needed to reset the battery monitoring system. All running okay now but will see how long it lasts! Did enquire if a larger amp battery would...

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

I’m booked in at my local dealer on Wednesday specifically regarding this topic! Charged twice in as many months, first time I saw it reset and work perfectly for 5 days then back to usual service. Second charge one day and then back to nothing. All I can say is after a charge I have 12.45 voltage a...

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

Wow. So after my stop start completely stopped working after a few days after ctek charge which in itself was 2 weeks ago, I stop at a railway crossing and as if by magic the stop start kicks in. Car has been resting for 11 hours, same journey as I always do! Only change was that the headlights were...

Re: Old owner registered for InControl

Thanks for the info guys just a couple of questions if you don’t mind. For those who went to the local jag dealer to get this sorted did you make an appointment or just turn up and enquire when you arrived? Also what is the one button press thing you mentioned? Cheers! It was free of charge when I ...

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

It’s an interesting thought Mike! I tested my battery the other day at a friends while I’m waiting for my multimeter to come in the post and my battery was resting at 12.2 but then again it was only a short drive. No doubt the electronics in the car that run in the background had eaten some of that ...

Re: Old owner registered for InControl

Like others have said I had this issue but a trip to the local dealer sorted this out for me! In truth all they had to do was take the old owner off so I could add myself to the then vacant car but the man was more than happy to do the button pressing in the car! Luckily enough it was free too, you ...

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

Sorry all I feel responsible for bumping this thread back up lol. I think my main frustration is that it’s a luxury car brand and that the function should just work. I also think you should be able to turn it off completely for those who don’t like it but I like the feature as I often get stopped at...

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

I ran the ctek msx 5 on AGM cycle when I did mine and was still connected to the car as I’ve heard various issues with battery disconnections and having to reset all sorts. As long as it has a good earth (fairly certain there is one in the boot well) I couldn’t see it having any problems! I hope tha...

Re: Stop/Start again a few thoughts

Spoke too quickly it seems!! Was perfect after the ctek charge for 5 days and now back to the standard inconsistent behaviour! It’s so frustrating for such a luxury car! I have the car booked in mid may to update software to latest version, il give it a full charge after that and see how that goes. ...
