Re: Navigation problems - Sygic

I became so frustrated with the built-in standard Jaguar Satnav that I installed Sygic satnav on my Samsung Galaxy 8+ and connect it to the Jag using a USB cable. It works great and is far superior to the built-in system. However there are 2 issues with the Sygic that are puzzling me: 1) Motorway ju...

Re: How to change ride characteristics

Thanks for that. It's frustrating that you don't really discover these things until you have had a chance to drive the car for a decent amount of time. When you take it out on a test drive at the dealer, you are not in it long enough to be able to fully appreciate how it rides. Perhaps I should look...

How to change ride characteristics

Hi folks I'm into my 3rd week of my 2015 XE R-Sport (petrol), and have finally had a chance to give it a decent run. My wife and I decided to take a day trip to the east coast (Felixstowe) area from Cambridge. Aside from the satnav, which must date from around 1990, it is so poor, the one thing we n...

Aftermarket interior wood trim for XE?

Hi folks I got my first ever XE a couple of weeks ago (a 2015 R-Sport). Although generally pleased with it, I'm disappointed with the amount of plastic on show. What happened to all the luxury walnut veneer that these cars were supposed to have? Does anyone make aftermarket interior trim to to go on...

Re: SatNav talks too much!

Is there no advanced settings menu in the basic Satnav? In my previous car (Lexus IS300), you could set the distance to a junction before it gives you a verbal alert. You could also set the level that it reduced the volume of the radio while making alerts. You also set different colour schemes and b...

Re: SatNav talks too much!

Even worse is that my wife likes to argue with it. She criticises its directions : "Why is it taking that route, I would have gone a different way, it doesn't know what it's talking about".
I keep telling her to shut up - "if we upset it, then we'll be completely lost" !

Re: SatNav talks too much!

I think it is just the basic system. Buttons are on each side of the screen.

SatNav talks too much!

Hi folks Does anyone know how to stop the SatNav telling me the same message over and over again? Typically it's things like 'Stay in the left lane', then 10 seconds later it says 'Stay in the left lane' and so on. Yesterday it told me the same damn thing 4 times in a row! I heard you the first time...

How to auto-tune DAB or FM radio

Hi folks I'm new to this forum and I've only had my Jaguar XE (R-Sport) 2015 for a few days. One thing that is baffling me about the radio (the standard model, not the Meridian version). I can't be bothered to work through each station on the FM or DAB radio in turn and then manually add them as pre...
