Re: Disc question (Brembo)

I fitted some Chris for my XE S and they are holding up much better after 15 months. Both discs and pads were brembos all round and I would buy it again. Performance I feel subjectively is slightly better than jaguar's OEM

Re: Autocar Review 2021 Model

As I understand it, the XE is as heavy, or heavier than it's competition even though all but the boot lid and boot floor are made of aluminium. At least part of the reason is the very complex rear suspension which is better than the competition, but heavier. Another is that it's also beefed up (a J...

Re: XE-S acceleration

Sounds like an issue with the remap. Mine is linear throughout (albeit not remapped)

Was it a velocityAP map?

Re: Theft prevention

Moving the OBD up is very simple, just detach from it's original position and duct tape it around something higher up but not the steering column ;) If someone nefarious wants to plug into it they'll have to hunt for it. Another option is to fit an extension OBD lead. You can then glue the extensio...

Re: Stolen :(

So sorry to hear that. I think I've only seen 1 or 2 other occasions of XEs being stolen on this forum so hopefully this isnt the start of a growing trend. Horrible world we live in where the police don't care and car manufacturers pretend there isnt a problem. I coincidentally got an email from Jag...

Might treat myself to the fastest available petrol version in 2025 then, one final fling before the daily cars become electric and petrol is reserved for the weekend toy / classic
I hope JLR stuff the 5 litre V8 into an XF for old times sake!

Water pump perhaps? Was the belt changed when the tensioner and pulleys were changed?

Re: XE s vs P300

XE S 380ps . Goes like a train, whines like a banshee, and snarles like an angry cat. Then you turn it to normal, take it easy on the right foot and the car transforms again. A relaxing easy cruiser. Lots or torque. Cruises at just under 2,000 revs at 70, smooth , comfortable and quiet. While retur...

Re: Jaguar wheel mass.

I drove the P450 at the Fen End event and I was really surprised how agile and nimble the car felt. I think the car reviews really exaggerated the higher overall weight. Not sure if they offer the f type with forged wheels anymore. I think the SVR used have them
