Re: what mode on country roads

Mine is most often in'S' but not with the hooligan mode selected, that only gets pressed when I'm on my own. I find the box responds better and fuel economy is slightly better than in 'D'.

Re: Blown Turbo + Need a New Engine

A horror story that turned out good. RAMP will be the company to look out for when the warranty finishes on mine next year.

Re: I am looking at replacing the tyres

I put 4 Turanza T005's on a fortnight ago to replace the Dunlop's (225/50/17) and they are excellent. There's much more grip now. I had Turanza's on my last two cars and they performed brilliantly, always felt confident when cornering. I did look at buying the Michelin's that everyone seems to recom...

Re: Jaguar XE 2 year service

Had the car serviced (36 month) along with the MOT yesterday, Service price was just £228! Apparently as it is a few days over 3 years old Stratstone could discount from the standard main dealer prices. One happy bunny today.

Re: Jaguar XE 2 year service

Hi

As stated in my previous post, the XE had a 24 mth/32,000 mile service in August 2019. I'm now getting a message up to say service due (i think it's giving it as due in 900 miles), is this right? I've done just 6,000 miles in the year. Thanks

Re: MOT's Important information.

My car is 3 years old on the 4th July, just checked the DVLA website and the MOT due date has been extended to the 3rd January.

Re: Forward alert + AEB = pedestrian detection

You can't beat looking out of the window to avoid collisions. If your wife is looking at the dashboard for warnings, she could easily miss other dangers. I would very seriously think about relieving your wife of the car.

Re: Jaguar remote / premium

Just had an email saying your InControl Remote app is due to expire in 60 days. Bit miffed as Stratstone told me it was for 2 years. For £36 a year or £57 for two years, I won't bother going back the the dealer and arguing with them. Remembering the lack of assistance with the satnav, they won't do ...

Re: weird Noise on Acceleration

Thanks for the replies.

PhilB, it's heartening to hear that others have had this happen. The reason you gave is plausible, I was threading my way through parked cars at the time.
