Re: Anyone else find this website a pain to navigate on a phone?

Blockbear or similar solves the issue. It does jump around a bit.

Re: Dashcam Footage

I’ve got the Nextbase 112 and it fits nicely between the rear view mirror and passenger sun visor without catching. Recording quality is very good and it’s easy to use. Similar wiring method to above.

Re: Road Rash on the skirt area just in front of the rear wheels

After a wash (shamed myself into it!)
The car has had genuine splash guards (mud flaps) fitted from new but this area still gets peppered. There’s a few marks visible above the plastic skirt, too.

Yeah, it needs a good wash!
These have been on 3 years and are just 3M cheapies from eBay. You can hardly see them when it’s clean unless you rub polish into the edges and don’t buff it out.

Re: Rear brake discs - how long roughly

There are some really nice people at my local dealership but also a couple of rotten eggs. I don't trust them enough to try.

Re: Opinions please

If it's any help, I find the quoted 'combined' MPG figure is pretty damn close to what I get on the motorway at a steady 75 mph. Have a scan through Autotrader and the likes, you can get the figures from there.

Re: Road Rash on the skirt area just in front of the rear wheels

You don’t really need one to be honest. A little soapy water in a trigger spray, wet the area with spray, place the film on and it floats on the soapy water. Then ‘squee-gee’ the water from the centre outwards. Done this many times with self-adhesive vinyl from small patches like the sill protectors...

Re: Road Rash on the skirt area just in front of the rear wheels

I put the protectors on mine from new as my last XF suffered from this. No chipping evident after 3 years/26k. R-Sport kit and mudflaps fitted.

Do the soapy water trick for fitting any vinyl-self adhesives. Works a bit like when you ‘size’ the walls at home prior to papering.

Just a word of warning - there are a lot of these lists on various subjects which are very popular at the moment on forums and social media with the current lockdown. Some unscrupulous people are reading them and data harvesting for password and ID fraud.
