Re: The Occasional 'Bump!'

I doubt it's related but there's always an audible knock when you hit around 20mph as the antilock brakes do a self test. Maybe try starting off in a straight line and seeing if you can hear it under normal circumstances. It's pretty easy to miss unless you're listening for it.

Re: Vibration (not engine mount)

Yep. "All cars shake some, sir". I had to get a vibration app for my phone and show them. They eventually replaced all the engine mounts bit it still shakes, like you said it appears more of an engine problem than a mount issue My 2.5t started the same thing at about 13,000 miles. It only happens at...

Re: Strong vibration at idle

I have this as well with the 2.5 petrol engine (U.S. spec). After complaining about it, they replaced one engine mount and it got a little better but still shook far more than I wanted. It was, like you said, driving a tractor instead of a modern luxury vehicle. I took it back and they tried to tell...

Re: The new XE centre console?

Blergh. I had an E-Pace courtesy car last week and that shifter drove me nuts the whole time. That little silver button on top of the shift lever is "Park" and it's nearly impossible to do anything on the touch screen or below without brushing against it. That means that when the light turns green, ...

Re: Any advice please?

The only must have in my opinion is the blind spot monitors. Rear three quarters view is pretty limited. I'd also think pretty hard about the fold down rear seats.

I went from an e60 to an xe and love it so much more. Let us know what you end up ordering!

Re: ITC pro update failed

Hmm. I took mine in yesterday and it's gone from "a few hours" to "tomorrow" to "next week". Must say that I'm getting a little nervous. Ifn it goes much longer I'm going to ask for a better loaner.

Re: Radio Controls Whilst Reversing

Be interesting for one of the US guys to try it on theirs and see. This is a U. S. Spec car. I verified that the center stack knob does change the beeping volume and, when the forward sensors are enabled you can still change the radio station. It's only in reverse that the controls do nothing. Than...

Re: Radio Controls Whilst Reversing

Certainly no offense taken :) But I do disagree. Even if the controls had switched into "Beeping takes precedence over music" mode, it doesn't explain why I can't turn the radio off or change it to a different station. I should think most people would be able to handle turning the radio off while ba...

Radio Controls Whilst Reversing

I haven't seen this one mentioned on the boards so I'm wondering if it's just me. Does anyone else find that they can't change the radio station or volume while the car is in reverse? Neither the steering wheels nor the center panel controls do anything. I'd like to meet the firmware engineer who de...
