I can’t swap them around, I’ll just have to continue to rely on instinct until I replace the rears Is that can't swap because of different sizes? Otherwise I'd have thought any tyre fitting establishment would swap them for you especially for the price of a drink. If you look at his sig he has an X...

The best grip should be on the rear so the poorest grip is felt through the steering wheel and automatically compensated for.

The old way was radials on the rear, cross-plys on the front (if you must mix them). I think the same principals apply.

Advice please - should I really replace both tyres (which I would normally do) or do you think I could just replace damaged one and replace other Dunlop when needed? Mike....That is interesting,the LR signs at Trentham lakes,Stoke must be very recent as I was at the dealership next door a week ago and they weren't there then. Certainly from my enquiries at the current LR dealership a couple of months ago no plans existed for a revisited Jag presence in the city...
