Re: spark plug service

It was suggested on the service after 70,000 with my X-Type, without even thinking about it I said Ok, I mean how much is a set of plugs?. If you look on the other thread you will find the reference number for it. I can't lay hands on my copy ATM.

Re: spark plug service

These days the old 10,000 mile rule is long dead, Now they only get changed if faulty or a campaign change at around 70,000, which can still be largely a waste of money.

Check out the huge thread already on here. Without wishing to jinx things mine has worked since, even this morning within about...

Re: Drive mode self-changing.

Driving mode, however, should default to ECO even after disconnect This isn't the case on mine, it will stay in eco or normal if selected, but dynamic will switch itself back. There may well be differences between model years though. I think (?) mine defaulted to 'Normal' after the disconnect, but ...

Re: New 2.0t R Sport fuel range

I'm getting around 40 MPG easily with up to high 40's if driven quietly. My best is 50 MPG for one run. With my previous X-Type I struggled to get it over 30MPG on any sort of regular basis, down into the low 20s in winter just round about. I'm delighted with the fuel consumption on this! 25% improv...
