Mine was done at the last service. All they did was to put some silicon on the panel joint. To be honest a trained monkey could have made a better job. Bodge job comes to mind.
A bodge is really a 'Bit Of Damned Good Engineering'!

I think someone has mentioned it on here in the past. Not a common fault.
I could understand it if my Ex had been driving, she could get the fan on with a half mile trip to the shops and back. Never did find out how she managed it!

Re: Common spelling fails.

A major cause of the problem is not the poster's lack of knowledge, but the computer's readiness to show what it deems to be the correct spelling. Much as I loathe Trump, I'm prepared to accept that much of what he tweets was entered into his phone correctly, as with today's example, "liable" when ...

Re: Common spelling fails.

Probably the most frequent is 'too' and 'to', even on occasion 'two'.

Mike, yours is the Ford engine, the OP's is the Ingenium.

The issue is known and I believe (not 100℅ sure though) there's even a Jaguar Technical Bulletin about it.
This is true. The bulletin needs to be checked, as I doubt the noise is intended but likely fixable.
