Re: MY20 manual gear change - in sport mode only ?

Not being a smart arse, but if you tip the lever forward when you are in drive you'll end up in reverse! Every "geartronic" style shift I have seen requires the shifter to be pushed to the left before you can start tipping. One of my car fantasies is an auto with a gated shift which mimics a 6 speed...

Re: First proper test!

Sounds great. Actually I have been a fan of the EPAS in both of our XE's and my F Type, I prefer it to the hydraulic steering in the older F Types and XKR, and am probably not a good enough driver to appreciate that there could be something better. I havent driven the 380hp XE but drove the 340 one ...

Re: XE P300 MY20 review

Well while we are niggling I actually not understand the comment that the engine in "not particularly characterful". If the reviewer means that it doesnt have any foibles, I'd agree with that - the engine does exactly what you want exactly when you want it to. I dont put my foot down in it like I wo...

Re: Hi there. newbie here.

Yes, I saw another newbie with IRR today. In Australia the dealers only tend to being them in in black or white unless it is a special order, but IRR/Firenze is my favorite on the jag sedans and sports cars. The R sport with venoms in IRR is what we had for our first XE and we liked it so much we ha...

Re: XE P300 MY20 review

I dont really disagree with much of what he said except that I feel the interior doesnt suffer in comparison to the A4, C class, or bimmer, I actually prefer it to any of them. Or at least I dont get into any of them and think "wow!" whereas I do when you switch on this. To drive this car reminds me...

Re: New arrival next week

Had ours for a few months, no issues except the occasional bluetooth dropout, and every so often it wont find the USB on startup. Yellow calipers should look great on a grey car. If you are lucky it will have the split fold rear seat optioned. Still kicking myself for that oversight, I got pretty mu...

Re: Qi wireless charging retrofit

The under the second screen cubby in the 2020 is where the wireless charging pad sits. It fits my Galaxy Note (or my wife's i-whatever plus) easily and it actually charges pretty fast. The only drawback is I always leave it in the car because it is out of sight out of mind. It is a lot more convenie...

Re: MY20 - rear view mirror area

Agreed, I put heaps of options into ours and it still cost the same as our 25T did in 2015. We have dynamic pack (wouldnt really bother except for red calipers), tech pack, gesture boot, surround sound, black pack, ioniser, monogram aluminium, sunroof, HUD from memory. The only thing I wish I had op...

Re: Bye Bye Jag

We had several volvos before we went to Jag - s40, c70T5, s60R, s40T5, s40T5, V40T5 CC. Very pleasant cars to own though not really a prestige experience at least over here. I really liked the seats and leather which are really good (in decent spec) and the stereos are much better than Jag stereos s...

Yes I should have mentioned, normal mirror is exactly as per usual. If we had teenagers again I'd want it regardless so that my rear view wasnt blocked by their boof headed boyfriends and I could pretend that they werent in the car with me.
