Re: XE 300 Sport review. TopGear.com

I have to say, I have the 300 R-Sport, but apart from trim level I am not sure what other differences there are in the handling stakes. I know Bob has the adaptive suspension and mine is standard but I am very impressed with the way this car handles even compared to my previous 180 diesel which had ...

The supplying dealer was of course very apologetic over the phone after seeing the photo of their mistake.
But are they posting any cake?
Unfortunately not :( , might just have to go and get some of Bob's :D

Re: What are these for?

Well I have been out and taken them off myself, took less than 5 minutes with a trolley jack. Will be interesting to see the difference in handling now, although I had not pushed the car hard I have done 500 miles and been through Milton Keynes a couple of times enjoying 'S' mode and the roundabouts...

Re: What are these for?

Oh well, that's not good. Will have to go to local dealer in milton keynes as opposed to Ipswich where I bought the car from so won't be able to moan, kick and scream as much as I would want to. I am trying to get hold of my sales person to give a right earful to though. It is tempting to just do it...

What are these for?

So I was looking around my car the other day and looking inside the front wheel arches noticed these on both sides of the car. IMG_1504.jpg Not sure why they are here, they don't look locked in but are held in place due to the compression of the spring. Now I remember in days gone by when delivering...

Re: Santa's been alerady

Well, I have had it a week now and although I have not done a great mileage I have noticed a few differences between the 180 and the 300. How well is it holding up cleanliness wise? Quite well so far, apart from a constant attack of white measles; the feathered delights seem to always congregate ar...

Re: Santa's been alerady

Well, I have had it a week now and although I have not done a great mileage I have noticed a few differences between the 180 and the 300. Improvements: The 180 was a quiet diesel engine car but the 300 is sooo much quieter and a more enjoyable experience. The Auto Stop/Start is less noticeable in it...

Re: Santa's been alerady

@Langesliert yes, I have had black cars for over 10 years so thought it was time for a change.

@Martind511, they won't even know that as the engine badge has been removed he he he.....

Santa's been alerady

Well I have had my Christmas present delivered already, my new 300 AWD in Corris Grey. There are a few things I need to do when the weather dries up such as fit LED bulbs in the approach lights instead of the standard fit filament bulbs. Swap over the tread plates for my illuminated ones, fit my rad...
