Re: Infotainment Software Update latest S21A_21.10.6-676616 (Apr 21)

Not sure if it's an issue with the XE but on other models there is an ongoing problem of people being signed out of the nav in the car. As in when you tap the nav screen it asks you to sign in again despite the "stay signed in" box being ticked. This update is supposed to remedy that so might be wor...

Re: InControl is now out of control

If it's a Jaguar dealer then they are talking crap. They can clear the previous owner (probably them) and add you as the new one on delivery. Try again with them. The other thing to try is contact Jag customer relations and they will do it with a copy of the V5 emailed to them. But get the dealer to...

Re: Data Sim

I just went and got a data sim from my telecom provided and stuck it in my f-type, works great. That may work for you in Australia but in the UK we have seen issues where members pay for an additional sim from their mobile providers. This is often more expensive and in many cases just doesn't work....

Re: Factory Reset

I recently did this when I traded in my JLR product. This was on the Pro and as far as I recall I found a "reset" type button in the general settings. It wiped everything (I had already unpaired the phone) including home address on the nav and even all my preset radio stations. I had to delete the c...

Corris Grey.
Having seen Eiger Grey in the flesh, it's a fair bit different from Corris Grey.
The Op was asking about Eiger Grey.

Re: Back in the fold?

I seem to recall back in 2019 looking at the oil specs for the MY20 Ingenium petrols which had changed yet again to a new version of their super dooper Castrol Edge stuff.
That will probably be trolled out as an excuse for upping the servicing to 2 years.

Has anyone any views on this as never heard of this re a petrol engine.
I think someone was getting confused at the dealership.
Oil diluted with what?
Oil dilution can happen on diesels.
Petrols don't suffer from it.

Re: First Jag ordered. Options

I forgot to add about the clearsight mirror. Very good if you have a very small back window like I had on the Evoque but never had a problem with a standard mirror on both my XE's. It can take a while to get used to and some people who have bifocal specs had problems apparently. If you are on a budg...

Re: First Jag ordered. Options

Space saver spare wheel and toolkit. Costs £185 on order with the car. The number of people I have seen putting the spare wheel kit together afterwards as they either didn't order it with the car or if the car didn't come with one is considerable. Unless you go the Evilbay route it will probably mor...

Re: Engine shuts down

The engine shutting down is part of the "Driver exit" feature when stop start is enabled.
