Re: USB connection to the phone cradle

In my XF I popped off the piece of console at the rear where the two vents are and found under the lining of the centre console cubby there was a handy hole. I ran the cable through that and out the back, then tucked it under the passenger side of the central console to bring it back forward. My Br...

Re: Greeting from Italy

Nice. Have you been to see a Formula 1 race, as it is so near to you. I have been to see races in a few countries, but not Italy yet. You'll love this: I live at about 15 mins drive from the Monza circuit. My nephew and I are great fans of the Ferrari team and we love sports cars in general. Yes, w...

Re: Greeting from Italy

Welcome Agatti. My mother is Italian and I have many relatives in Italy. I have visited the county many times. I have driven all over the south and visited places such as Lecce, Bari, Naples, driven the whole Amalfi coast and been to Sorento, Salerno, Paestum, etc. I have also stayed in Milan, Rome...

Re: USB connection to the phone cradle

I seem to recall others have run the cable from the USB socket backwards under the arm rest hinge then run it forwards to the cradle. The sides of the console are flexible enough to tuck the cable underneath where it meets the carpet. Saves having to remove it. Interesting ! I didn't think of it. T...

Just an idea. Wouldn't it be easier to leave the phone inside the console? You can control the phone from the screen and steering wheel.
I can't do that as I use my smartphone as a navigation device as well, and the cradle is made specifically to be attached to the side of the floor console.

USB connection to the phone cradle

Hello gentlemen, I will need to install a cable connecting the USB port under the armrest, with the phone cradle that I will attach to the floor console side panel. Ideally, the cable should appear from underneath the side panel. Would you have an idea on how to do that ? I presume I will need to re...

Re: Greeting from Italy

Enjoy that beautiful place. There is a great little cafe in the square who looked after my wife for 6 days with her fussy eating. I love Italian food but she is too fussy and has to pick and choose. The owner was superb and she actually had no moans about his suggestions. I think this was the place...

Re: Need color code of light oyster side trim panels

There are smartphone apps that will give you the RGB values just by pointing the camera at the item. I don’t know how accurate they are but it may be worth a try. Hi mdem, you're 100% right. And this will be my very last resort, but I'm a bit concerned with that, because the values they produce are...
