Re: Buying a used XE R Sport

I think you might have a long search if you want all those boxes ticked. If I was you I would go for your colour and spec choice and just pick a couple of your main extras. This may throw a car up. I would get one at less than 3 years old and via a Jaguar dealer. I personally would stay away from th...

Before lockdown there were c60 similar spec cars to mine on the JLR website. Now there are 30 and prices are rising.

Re: 2021 Jaguar XE Leaked on Jaguar USA Website

The seats are the same as the MY20 configurator that I did (and saved to PDF) when I was buying mine. Probably just the graphics.

Re: Road Rash on the skirt area just in front of the rear wheels

IMO, wax won't be a "cure" for road rash, it will be a quick cosmetic job. I had this one a previous (not Jag) car and even if you get it sprayed, it just comes back. I would buy the PVC protector and stop it going any further. I was also told that the area needs to be free of all wax prior to apply...

Re: Do you Diesel Guys use Premium Diesel?

I have read that the base fuel is the same, but that the supplying companies (BP etc) put their mixtures and additives in to achieve a certain level of performance and usability. In particular, the Cetane levels are said to be important - but this is over my head by this point. I would say to the sc...

Re: Do you Diesel Guys use Premium Diesel?

I have found that if a car has been run on cheap diesel for a long time (c30k miles +) and you put a tank of V Power/BP Ultimate in, the difference is immediate - smoother, quieter, more powerful. But, no real change in MPG. Mine is still low mileage and premium fuels don't seem to make much differe...

Re: Am I being ripped off for software update?

If your car is under three years old, as said before, you should be able to take it to any Jag dealer and they will sort it out for you. I have had 10 years of BMW ownership, but if virtually anything went wrong within the 3 years it was fixed. On the last one, I had a complete set of alloys replace...
