Re: Electric steering wheel adjustment missing!
They just look like access points with the blanking plugs missing. I would imagine that's an easy fix for a dealer.

Re: Prospective owner advice
I had a 2.0L BMW 320d a couple of cars ago (177 bhp). It felt a lot slower in normal driving than the 180bhp Jaguar and would not achieve more than low 50's MPG on a long run. The Jaguar is into the 60's MPG for similar driving. Very smooth and economical.

Re: Starting is Intermittent and SOS Warning.
I take it that your car is in either a Jaguar main dealer or a Jaguar independent? IMO hard-to-find issues are better dealt with by someone with experience of the marque.

Re: Netflix 522GW bundle
Hi Halfords have this bundle on sale at the moment. My question is has anyone used Halfords for the fitting of dash cams in their vehicles and was the fitting neat and do they hide all wiring. Thanks in advance. I bought one a few years ago and fitted it myself. The guys at Halfrauds are doing them...

Re: First service
If you are buying the car from a Jaguar dealer you are in a good position to clarify exactly what has happened and how they will rectify it if there is a problem. Just get in touch with them and ask them to explain the position.

I have found Chips Away to be very expensive. Try a local body shop and get a quote.

Re: Jaguar Xe 2.0d 132kw some questions
Some people say that the gearbox is a sealed unit and ok for the life of the car, but I have seen several YouTube videos where a gearbox service is recommended every 80,000 miles. If I was planning to keep my car so long I would probably have it done. What are the creaks at the back that you are ref...

Re: Prospective owner advice
Regarding Adblue, it’s a very easy job and, although mine is the newer model, it’s every c10k miles. You just buy a container from Halfrauds and put it in. Easy as that. The Diesel engines are good and very economical. Mine is 180bhp and motorway cruising is 60mpg. Even around town it’s in the 40’s....

Re: Best Setup for Snow?
It’s only my opinion, but I would personally turn them both off and try that. Traction control is no good in snow IMO.

Re: Best Setup for Snow?
In my previous car I turned off traction control and tried to keep moving as fast as possible up hills and as slow as possible down hills. I have seen videos of cars going up hills with normal tyres, 4-wheel drive and also winter tyres. Winter tyres were best by far.
