Technical Bulletin for Engine Mounts (Sorry struggling to find it via search)

I know I’ve seen it on the site before, but can’t for the life of me seem to find the document (TB?) that detailed how to correctly test the engine mounts for the issue. Does anybody have this in PDF? I’m not getting anywhere with the independent dealership on the issue, although I’ve heard the same...

Re: Suspicious Engine Noise

Sadly I think it is timing chain related. The noise sounds like the chain hitting the plastic cam cover for 2-3 seconds on start up, regardless of whether or not the oil is warm. I know about noisy tappets, I've had two MG's/Rovers. As expected the Jaguar dealer can't re-produce the problem. It see...

Re: 2.0D 180 R Sport Camshaft position Sensor issue PO341

Found this old post by Vespa.... There was a service recall for the camshaft position sensor around 12 months back. H027 was the code and was valid under warranty for TWO years only (dated August 2017). That should still have you well in the warranty with luck. Here is part of that H027 Publication...

Re: Motorway roadworks speed limits going up.

Definitely. I thought in the past they’d said 80mph would likely be possible on smart motorways since they can lower and enforce it when necessary such as when weather in adverse. As far as I am aware without the smart motorways the old orange flashing speed signs aren’t enforceable directly (althou...

Re: Missing Nav SD card??

The SD Card would have come with the car from new. It has to be paired to the car to work and Jag can provide a new one for a fee. I would ask the person or dealership you got it from if they have it but forgot to put it in. I’m still waiting for mine but was assured when buying the car that they ha...

Re: Reversing Noise / rumble / vibration

I've not had the sound as bad as videos I've seen but had the car into a Jag specialist today and there's over 20 codes logged in the system in addition to the P20EE that I knew about. Will get the exact list of codes when I pick it up in about an hour, but he did say some of them refer to engine mo...

Re: Goodbye FPace / Hello XE

Yes, the coupe is my daily. Once you take the spare out and rely on the can of goo, the boot space is pretty good. I can fit in 2 six bottle cases of sparkling, a carton of beer and about a half a dozen shopping bags. Luggage wise, it holds enough for a 2 week trip for 2, though we have to redistri...

Now sold
Hope you enjoy the MX5! Is that what you decided to go with in the end? After my Jag I'm expecting to either move to something like an F-Type or go for something electric. I need to get the wife an Evoque first though

Re: Suspicious Engine Noise

Charles, did you ever find out what the cause of this noise was please? My 2015 25T has just started producing a noise on start up under similar circumstances, and I have just gone over 22,000 miles also. Could this still actually be hydraulic lifters Vespa mentioned? A lot of BMWs end up with nois...

Re: JLR get good write-up in local press, shock ,horror!

There's something wrong with the world... My local rag, the Distress and Slur, sorry, Express and Star, actually has a reasonably supportive article about JLR on their website today, covering the production of the 1.5 millionth Ingenium engine: https://www.expressandstar.com/news/business/202...
