I parked and locked the car and when I came back 20 minutes later it was all working again?? Thanks ill be driving again in a few hours so fingers crossed it solves itse...

Parking sensors permanently off?

Just went to park after a drive and noticed that both the guidelines and parking sensors were off. The guideline setting was on, the parking sensor icon at the bottom showed sensors as off and pressing the button to turn them on does nothing. Tried to do the usual lock the car and restart to reset i...

Re: Post camshaft sensor update

Just a quikie before I start back to my job. It sounds like you have an injector problem and I suggest you put a bottle of a diesel engine cleaner through it. The noise is a diesel engine clatter and the start up is bad because of a partly clogged injector in my opinion. Please do try this first an...

Re: Post camshaft sensor update

If the car has been regularly serviced for all those years I think you should contact JLR. They stated in their description of the engine that the timing chain lasts the lifetime of the engine . A timing chain should last longer than the mileage recorded on your car . It was one of the reasons why ...

Is the key visible to the car and how was the car unlocked?
On my 2015, I use keyless pretty much every time. Never have to start it manually but if the car can’t see the key (a phone can block it in your pocket) it would make sense for it to stop the car.

Might be different on my 2016 model but in mine pressing the brake pedal gives you control.
Car does not stop unless I open the boot
My 2019 is the same
My 2015 is the same

Re: Post camshaft sensor update

Update I have just received a call from the garage to say the technicians have diagnosed the issue as the timing chains and have quoted me £4,500 to fix!! An absolute joke to be having an issue like this on a car less than 5 years old! Oh no, gutted for you ☹️ Have you got a second opinion to be 10...

I normally go to Costco and get their Kirkland fuel - Last couple of times Shell V-Power Diesel. Not really noticed any difference really.

Anyone install a inductive/wireless phone charger in the space forward of the gear selector? Thanks
Isn't that what Borat has done in the original post....

Re: OBD II Reader

I've got a unit by Carista that I've used on my 2015 2.0d - It's only able to read basic ODBII codes and not Jag specific ones, but I had it anyway from my Audi so have used it the few times the EML has come on. I'd describe the port as being around central, below the wheel in the driver side footwe...
