The majority of chips are on the plastic panels not metal.Many AC Cobra's had alumimium/chrome steel guards fixed to the rear mudguards at the bottom to stop paint chipping. Maybe someone could custom make similar for the XE?

With the XE it's always worth checking the battery state of charge. If you have a charger give it a charge up. So many things can be affected with a down on charge battery.

Re the heated steering wheel. I have one and also suffer from Reynauds disease and it is a Godsend in winter when the circulation in my hands is next to nil. It warms them to allow the circulation to come back and pain to go. Gloves are useless as an alternative.
