Re: New 2016 XE S owner - but I need your help

Hi ChrisGB, That is interesting, however, as the filter becomes more blocked and becomes more effective at capturing smaller particles, so the pressure drop across the filter increases. The effect will be a lower pressure and reduced oil flow to the mechanical items with the engine relying on the lu...

Re: New 2016 XE S owner - but I need your help

Something to bear in mind; an oil filter doesn't reach it's maximum filtering capability until it is partially dirty. Changing it too frequently could cause premature engine wear. I'd be interested in knowing the science behind that or is this an urban myth? Having spent over 20 years in the lab an...

Car looks great but I am intrigued by your numberplate. I don’t remember 00 being issued.
I used photo editing to scramble the number plate.
Normally I wouldn't bother but when you see how quickly "the scum" pinched stonlenjags car, it make me a little paranoid :?

I took the opportunity of today's weather to give the XE a quick once over again since last weekend.
The car was covered in fine dust spots, Not sure if Sahara dust or volcano dust, but back to the normal gleaming look :-)

Perhaps a roofbox for the battery?

Re: Fuel filler cap fell off

I don't dangle :D

My filler hatch has a handy "storage shelf" to locate the filler cap during filling so that it doesn't clatter on the side of the car.
Am I special ;) or do all filler hatches have such genius 2nd function?

Re: Question re Rotary Dials on Privi Pro Duo

Mine has done the same a couple of times, I don't have heated seats. The right knob adjusts cabin temp and fan speed only. Occasionally I go to adjust temp, and the control doesn't respond when turning. Push (or pull I cant remember) the knob and the 'detent notches' return and the control function...
